Someone at my track uses them, but i dont know how they perform. For me as a student, they're just too expensive. Maybe i'll try to cut a PET-bottle and make my own "mip-pistons", who knows if it works xD

What oils are you using with the mip pistons?

Very slippery , they let the track dry and thought it would help the groove come up ..
Instead they suffered a transition between wet to dry
and had lots of dust ..
Not mention the jumps could of been built better.

And you're sure you're previous Shock-setup was comparable? 2 seconds seems quite much for just changing the pistons

Yea 2 seconds is huge.
I love my stock shock setup but if I can shave off some lap time that sounds good to me.

But I need some info and factoids

I can shave 10 sec's a lap if the damn Marshalls will do there job. Cause its not my fault I triple flipped my truck over the double. LOL

do you know if they will post a setup from these conditions? Curious to see what team AE came up with to deal with those issues.


For the whole piston thing, personally on the rough stuff the RC Shox pistons I have been quite happy with.Only *issue* and its not a real issue is how light the shock oil is you can end up using with them.
