+1 fq... If you're going to get involved with making a chassis.. By all means make one solid chassis and ditch the 3 piece design.

Why make what someone else already has anyway... If you have the tools and the skills.. by all means show them off!!!

Yeah, you start selling a 1 piece chassis and people will find used exo's for real cheap

Going once, going twice... going for the hundredth time to the highest bidder at $40

I would pay $300 for a one piece chassis made of aluminum.

I think you guys are really on to something here. 1 piece 7075, thin out the thick areas that are there just to make the modular design strong, stick pack down the middle, traditional servo mounts could eliminate the t plate in the front.

I modeled one up a year ago, but my motivation was to eliminate the center 'sag' to get the front and rear roll centers in line with 99% of every racing kit out. Didn't have access to machinery so I never went anywhere with it.

not... to be a bad news bear. But big deal on the chassis? We still don't have the Center diff.

Now... Make a 1 piece chassis for the Sc10 4x4 that accommodate a center diff belt system similar to a b44, (belt to each diff with a center for people not accustomed to the design) and you are on to something.

True, that would be optimal. But a one piece chassis would definitely be an improvement without designing a whole new chassis layout.

You could drill holes to screw blocks in for a center stick config and another set of holes for the FT saddle mount. Take off some of the material on the sides that's not needed with a metal chassis so you could get a esc in there when using a center stick. Run whatever setup you want or have the lipo's for.

But oh man, to incorporate a center gear diff would be money

what about the scte guys tho? they are all buying flex tuned chassis. there are like 3 or 4 "flexier' chassis for them on the market.
you want side to side twisty flex i believe

So my AE is on the auction block, after wheeling my mugen conversion this truck will be collecting dust on the shelf so I might as well off it.

Every hopup you could throw at it, complete strc catalog (except shock body & adj collar). Hard ano shock bodies, ti-ni everything (new), shiny bones & light weight outdrives. C-Diff & 2 stg pistons, rpm arms, all new Avis rev bearings and another complete set of AE bearings, T-Bone bumpers... list is long. Tons of spares too. Fresh +3mm hazards with gold bar codes and another set of fresh blockades.

Just did a complete tear down and bottom up refresh, it's pretty much a brand new truck. About half a night of practice on the truck.

How much should I list it for? I don't want to start too high and not sell it, but then again, I don't want to give it away either... I just spent about $150 on the refresh.

Help pricing this would be appreciated

I gave up trying to even sell mine, short of paying somebody to take it, I ended up using the shocks on my 2wd SC10, and just thru the rest in the draw to wait for someone to build an oil filled center diff for it, or I just may mod it to a two belt system like somebody pointed out, just for kicks.
After this truck and with the success I'm having with the "other" truck, I really don't think I would buy another AE product, does the guy that designed the SC104x4 even still work for AE? Great concept, but end of the day IMO a major fail for outdoor large track racing.

Not really, that's an uncontrollable consequence.

You want the suspension to do the work, that is a controlled value, can't tune chassis flex with different oils, springs, piston hole size, or droop setting.

The scte guys are confused or someone's just selling parts to sell parts

Not looking for put it in the drawer price

I know resale value is not great and I will get no where near what I put into it,just looking for a number that I should start at.

Kits don't get more valuable with age like a good wine
