Pipe/header? How much fuel has been thru this engine? Clutch?

Check your fuel system. You could have a leak at the tank or in a fuel line causing it to loose massive amounts of fuel.

Just finished breaking in a P5xlt, a month after breaking in a +4. The p5 seemed much easier, that thing screamed right away. Seems like it took all the way to 2 gallons for the +4 to come around

I have a p5xlt that I just got with a 811 buggy and it only has about 3/4 gallon on it but I need to retune it. Does someone have a good base line for the settings. Thanks.

When I get tune out of whack, I like to go to the base carb settings and then adjust from there.

The plus 4 has the hard team piston, which takes longer to break in but also lasts longer. P5 does not. Still great quality though.

My engine is VERY loud, though I think it's the pipe. Is there any other factors that can cause my engine to be very loud? It's a 21-5 or FMS? I'm not sure, but it's one or another. It's being broken in as well but my other N21R that is getting broken in at the same time is quiet with a 9901/41021 combo.

I have the p5xlt in my 811T truggy and wanted to know if there was a better choice than what I have. I am coming back to nitro after taking a year off so having to relearn a lot of the nitro stuff. For tuning, power, and durability should I be running a different Nova or is the p5 sufficient?

Still run a P5 today nothing wrong with ours just pipe changes for different tracks. Although the Roma is becoming popular. I think the P5 is more than enough if your getting back into it run it and have look at what's out there.

The P5 is a great engine for the price. Clutch, pipe, header, and Carb restrictors are your best mates. If you need more power use a 8 or 9 restrictor. Pipes are important geez I must have over 15 pipes pending on engine and mood. You can always send or buy an engine for a Mod which will help. You could buy a stronger engine as an alternate that way you have something in your box for those high bit days. I'm not a pro in any means if your not able to drive consistent then no engine will be good enough.

I saw a few clips of your track and it looks very fun. You have the track for a high hitting engine if your interested give Clockworks a ring or a person you feel comfortable with and ask questions about Modding and engine.

For the 21-5 what would be a good combo I have a 41005 manifold only... I can buy used off here, so what's a good combo or is the 9901/41021 the best combo as of now?

Thanks

Thats happened, because you are use incorrect insert.

The internal channel inside of the new carb is 6.0....

And when you are install 6.5 isert, you make a "step" for flow....

Sorry for my english

Neal says 41005 makes the engine feel lazy, 41001 would be the best, a lot better than the 41021.
