Thanks for your time.

Break it end, will loosen up .

hold one wheel and spin the other with the motor

So I bought the sc10 gear difff rebuild thinking it would be better because it has 4 shims instead of two, but the small shimms behind the 4 pyramid gears were way to thick so I had t use the old ones, but lost one so I have one new one that's twice as thick. I think between the f and r I prolly sealed up and reopened about 8 diffs last night, had bad dreams of silicone oil! It was a good learning experience though, thanks for All the input

Hey guys I just bought my sc10 4x4 and went out to try it but it is making a clicking noise when I turn and give it throttle thought it might be the spur gear but that's ok. Is it normal cause it don't sound normal

clicking diff? Call AE and see about getting the shims for the diff. They will send them for free. Regardless if that is the issue or not, still worth getting for free.

Limit the up travel on your shocks too.

#1 cause of early diff gear deaths every year. Support your local shock limiter society

I responded to your SC10 post...and here you are

I'd check your CVD's and front bearings. Your pin may be loose.

OR...or or or.....endpoints could be set too far, and it could be causeing the CVD to pull out of the cup just enough to cause the bone-pin to click on the outdrive....

Not saying that's what it is....just something it could be.....

And damn you guys....I'm going to give my truck one more season... I managed a 2nd place qualifier behind our local fast guy at a night race a week or so ago....

I think the center diff is the missing link in my setup.....will have to order one over the winter....

Only $50 something bucks, why not. With all the dough spent and time fiddling with setup, I would not be able to resist trying yet another option that could change the way the truck turns, jumps, brakes, adjusts pitch & roll in the air.

Coming from 1:8, it drives more like what I'm used to... it has a center diff. Ball diff not gear diff, can't have it all, but better than a slipper to me.

When I picked up the kit in October I hadn't driven in years but it drew me in when I was going to a out of town grocery store and there was a LHS next door. Went in for a mag and came out with this truck

Liked it, raced it, but something was missing. The C-Diff

Are you guys using double sided tape or some other solution to hold down your electronics? If double sided tape, which ones are you using? I could hardly go a whole day at the track without my ESC coming loose from the double sided tape.

I use this stuff:

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...Tape-1x36-Roll

Very impressed. works well even doubling it up to give some cushion for the ESC. Make sure you have a clean surface regardless of the tape you use, a quick swipe with an alcohol wipe works great. Or a blast of grease remover.

+1. I had the same problem . . .when I first assembled the truck I just slapped the esc in there and it came off quickly. Went home, carefully cleaned bottom of esc and chassis with a bit or rubbing alcohol (not necessarily the best cleanser) and have not had problems since. I use the same stuff Cain linked.
