what I do to the Plus4 engines results in a very dramatic performance increase......The difference is night and day driving the stock engine back to back with the modified version...The modified has a noticeably stronger low end with a much stronger midrange and a seriously massive increase on the top end, it actually screams more like a 7 port now.....With the timing changes to the engine we find it likes running the 9886SS pipe , it gives the engine a very strong broad powerband, with exceptional low and high RPM performance, with an awesome sounding exhaust note... the 9886SS pipe sounds absolutely fantastic...... I wont say the Plus4 needs to be modified, but I can say the Clocked version has a very dramatic and noticeable performance increase over the stock version......A Plus4 with some real attitude

Yes teh 9886 will work well in a buggy. I would run the 21 header for top end and 20 header if you want a little more bottom. From what I understand the 9886 is more of a top end pipe (at least on stock motors) so you may feel a little less grunt coming out of the corners but wit hsome clutch work you could make it feel fine. the 2096 is more all around pipe with better run times then the 9886. I run on a medium sized track with some flowing turns and a couple 180s so the 2096 works better for me.

the 41021 kills top end actually...it loses about 4 MPH over the 41001.......

2096 has far less output then the 9886, bottom to top ...I didn't find ti to have any better runtimes then the 9886..........to be honest I am not much impressed by the 2096.......I have tried it on multiple engines, both stock and modified and it has never really done much for me.....To me it seems to smother the engines more then anything...

We had Novarossi produce the 9886 in a Super Strong version..... so it is ideal for a Buggy/truggy...........

the manifold that works best is a 41001 style manifold..... the 41021 style will work, but lacks the RPM capability of the 41001...tho engine to engine you may see manifold preferences change.... But on a BTT or Plus 4 the 41001 is the best manifold to use......

edit....I should add that everyone has their preferences... I run on a very technical, very grippy track that requires a substantial amount of low end power and grunt in order to clear some of the features...I also have a fairly long straight and high speed sweeper so having a good top end is important as well.....I tend to prefer pipes that open the engine up and allow it to breath ..........To some the 9886 will be too aggressive, to others it will be the pop you have always been looking for....You track and conditions will play a huge role in what pipe and manifold you will prefer....... I will say that I do test all the different pipes and manifolds using both a radar gun and a acoustic tachometer....I also incorporate lowering the stall of the clutch and testing the engine limits in the lower RPM ranges..

Default 41001

I've been telling people this for about a year that the 41001 bent header simply works better and they act like I'm nuts or something.

Whatever, the p5's and plus-4's love it on a 9853ss.

I accidentally ordered the 9886 standard instead of the 9886 SS. What are the main differences? I am running it with the 4101 header

Would the same setup be good for your clocked p5 I'm my buggy? I paired it with my 2058 for tomoz. I really loved the note of the 9886 on the proto 7 today (only got to run 1 tank and my initial thought was - F@CK THIS THING IS UNBELIEVABLE).
