I have replaced the glow plug and went that route....I don't think that is the issue.

Any ideas? Do i just need to run it rich and let it break in more maybe?
Hi.

Maybe its the combustion chamber. I had an issue with a Plus4 with the same "lean" idle sound. Monty suggested me to change the combustion chamber, and that was the fault.

What plug, pipe, header, fule etc are you running?

Do you know what was wrong/ what happened to your combustion Chamber?

I couldn't see any error on the chamber, but you can read this:

decent pipeset on that engine for a truck

clutch? what kinda car you running ? i have been very happy with the buku power clutch lately but am also a big fan of the werks clutch system
Well I got the motor in the truck but it won't run well. Idle is really inconsisitant, sometimes its high, sometimes its low without moving the idle screw, it occasionally surges and dies. If I can get it to stay running any length of time and wind it up it will die on the top end.

pressure line pinhole?
gummed up carburetor?

first things i would check

does a different engine do the same thing in that car?

Default nova p5xlt

I just got my P5XLT in the mail and I am going to try to get at the least a gallon through it today after I find some fuel ( everyone is out of stock ).

One of the things I've noticed is that there is NO head shims in box ! I haven't taken the head off yet but am assuming there already installed.

Is there any recommendations for running Byron's 30% / OD 97t / platinum 086 pipe /,,,,,,,,,,,,, head shims ?

I read somewhere along these 100pgs. that it was a good idea to flush the engine out with fuel ? or after run oil ? before first start up !

Any advice on this adventure would be appreciated.

How do i prevent an enigne flameout after a fuel stop? I had this happen to me a couple of times during heats. Using a 21-4T.

is this normal alos could this be a fix for the dodgy nova bearing issue ?
Novarossi, changed the Btta front bearing to a 17004 (i think) instead of the 17011. Monty said all the recent Btta's came with this new bearing. It is the same bearing that the P5 now comes with. Its not a bad bearing and was told it will last a while, just not as long as the 17011 that the motor used to come with. I have a 17011 that is going to go in when the time comes.

Use Novarossi plugs. The OD's aren't as good.

Try not to pit on a completely empty tank is the best thing to try.
