that looked like a loose track. how was your truck

I currently own a Slash 4x4 RTR version and I am getting ready to buy a SC10 4x4. I was wanting to know if this is the best way to buy this truck?

At Tower Hobbies you can buy the Associated SC10 4x4 Brushless 2.4GHz RTR for $399.99.
It says you get a "Free SC10 4x4 Factory Team Upgrade Kit with SC10 4x4 Brushless 2.4GHz RTRs. A $69.99 value for free"... I am also a member so I get another $50 off the price.

Or should I buy the Factory Team SC10 4x4 Kit?

well if you want to get running and save money, get the rtr with upgrade kit. But you will need swaybars and they are $20/set and I think they come with the FT truck.

Truck is officially dialed! (For me anyway, you guys may hate it, rotates on a dime but consistently so it is easy to catch)

Overdrive pulley.

Don't bother with the cheapo one just get the factory team an be a baller like all of us.. You will end up buying all the stuff the ft junk anyway. Plus it has blue screws and metal parts! Bling!

the tower rtr comes with the ft upgrade kit, only thing that it wont have is "bling", ft shock bodies, aluminum hexes, and blue turnbuckles.

Does it have sway bars?

yea but the electronics is what im talkin here.....
sway bars a must too.
and the blue aluminum...
i havnt spent any money on the factory team except shock and diff oil. plus you get to choose the RIGHT tires for your surface

ive had alot of rc cars.. one think i learned.
get the badass kit or you will always be wanting it and dumping money untill you get it.
then somebody will ask, "is that the factory team?"
then you can say, "yea sick huh?" instead of , "no but i converted it"

no, you can run stick

the track wasn't to bad. my truck...lol where do i start. 1st round it kept shutting off... so i replaced the rec. seemed ok. 2nd round the dead band on the trigger throw was not right,re calibrated the radio and esc..3rd round the esc was acting like an on/off switch as far as power was concerned. i hit the throttle and it would take a second to come on and when it did it was almost all there at once. very hard to drive. i qualifeid 81 out of 120.

the mains the same thing, on and off like power. talked to the castle tach after the race and he rolled back the firmware to an earlier version and it worked pretty good but it was to late.i should of talked to him sooner.

BUT i went racing last night at the local track here and the esc started cutting in and out again but not all the time. yes im running a bec.

i called castle today and they said something doesnt sound right and authorized my local hobbyshop to exchange the esc. so hopefull the new mmp works.

Gonna do a new body here soon. Thinking about neon green with black splatters all throughout. Whadda ya think? Any suggestions on schemes ?

My buddy drives a scte with a neon green body. The thing really sticks out on the track, easy to see.
I would go neon green if I weren't stuck on my signature blue over white for the past 10 years
