I got my 811 E today and I got to say that I am very impressed with the quality and layout. Can't wait till this weekend to try her out at the Futaba Electric Challenge.

Regular wing or low profile wing? Is there a major difference in handling?

His entry was sent in but it was late. All intentions at this point is that he is going.

The buggy diff (on the right) the oil is filled just over the shafts and the Truggy diff (on the left) the oil is filled just over the gears.
Which way is the right way ?
You want to fill the diffs like the truggy picture, just over the cross pins. If you fill it too much you'll warp the washers inside easier and possibly have some pressure issues when the diffs heat up and they can lock up.

If you get the new gears it is the same process except you don't use any washers inside the diffs and you need to go up 2000-4000 cst to get the same feel as the old gears.

Agreed but do the truggies have warped wahers or had pressure issues ? I ask the question because the truggys came out later than the Ebuggy so maybe it's a diff building update. If I am not mistaking there is a youtube video where Losi diff are built like that (oil over gears).

Pretty certain that the truggy was out before the E buggy, that is why the E buggy has the larger gearbox and wheel bearings and the truggy not.

All of the diffs are the same in all 3 vehicles the E buggy has a larger ring and pinion, that's all. Do what you like but the way I told you to build them is the correct way for all the vehicles.

Has anyone tried the optional hard anodized chassis for the 811 e? Just wondering because It looks like it holds up to scratching better than the stock chassis.

Practiced today with a buddy of mine who was also running the 811E. We got the cars running extremely well. We really nailed good setups. Now its time to lay down some hot runs this coming weekend at our club race. SHould be alot of fun. This car pretty much drives itself.

Gotta say that I am highly impressed with the 811E. I bought a used on last week and had 1 day to get it ready before the Futaba E Challenge. I was going to convert my losi 8 2.0 but decided to go with the Serpent insteed. I have not driven E buggy in more than a year and have only raced 3 times this year due to running my own track. The buggy handles like a dream and is easy to drive. I am very happy that I decided on the 811E. I ended up with a 4th place finish in Pro buggy and just couldn't be happier.
