SC10 4x4 Thread
I actually still push a little, but it jumps and accelerates amazing. I did some math and found a couple balanced spring combos:
Yellow outside/ FBlue inside
Blue outside/ FWhite inside
White outside/ FGreen inside (way to soft but you get the idea)
I feel a balanced spring makes the car overall just better.

Never heard of balancing the springs....

Do know what a stiffer rear spring will do though .
If I use that combo my ride would have mass wheel spin & a lot less steering on the corner.
Mostly because the chassis would not roll enough in the corner...
the main issue im having is the truck is loose in the rear.. cant get it to square up.. when coming onto the straight its hard to get the truck to go straight then the high speed sweeper is always unpredictable.. very loose.. feels like the front is pulling harder than the rear
Short Front links
5mm camber washers
yellow spring
middle top and outside bottom shock
option rack with rear position hole.
32.5 AE oil 7k diff
2.2 sway
rear inside tower and middle hub for the camber link with zero washers
middle top and inside bottom on the shocks.
27.5 AE oil
5k rear diff oil.
extorek clutch with VTS slipper
Battery stick middle
2.0 sway
yellow rear spring but will also try blue fronts
hub back ( I will play with hubs middle and hubs front also)
I will also be playing with front tires. I think a less grippy tire up front might be of help.
yes, I want this, a lot less steering.

Front yellow-Fgreen in rear
Front Blue-Rear Red
Truck jumps level and does not chassis slap on anything. Before I did it I was having issues with the front end bouncing, rear was too soft switching springs helped. I dont think it is the end all be all though, I am going to experiment with a softer rear spring maybe Red with yellow fronts see how that does.
one thing I was not really messing with too much and I might start is the tensioners. If they are too tight it causes too much drag when you let off. If it is too loose the belt skips. I probably need to find the sweat spot.
short camber link? im running whatever they gave me in the kit.. by slowing down the servo? on the return or overall speed? i have the mt4 airtronics transmitter.. i was messing with the dual rate last night but couldnt find a controllable feel. or what feels comfortable for my driving style..
+1 on that... if too tight it seems like theres something binding.. seems like my tensioners are right in the middle

short link = outside on the tower lol. As in the shortest camber positions. I would slow the over all. Slowing one way and not the other seems like it would be goofy. The MT4 has a steering speed adjustment i think. DR is what I use because I dont have a servo speed setting. Try playing with the servo speed settings. I have my DR at 60% . Once I get my expo fixed, I might play with that to reduce steering around center also.

nice track. Big too. That looks like a high bite track. WAYYYY Different than what I am running on. lol, in that video I linked you could see the trucks rooster tailing all over the place. Your track is a lot like the indoor ones here. My truck works decent on the indoor track. Which truck are you?
