RC10B4.1 FT/WC
Think I found the problem...my mount screws are not long enough....but the ones I am using are whats in the manual. Huh??? The problem seems to be when I mount the motor all the way against the mount plate I cannot get the pinion to mesh exactly in line with the spur...so I had to back the motor out in order to get the exact mesh although its not tightened down yet...had to leave the house.
the 15T and 15T far are with the 15T pinion, the other 2 are 23t pinion.

It is worth buying if you plan on trying both A and C hub towers on your buggy. You can spend $12 on that or $24 for the JConcepts ones that you have to change the entire piece. Same with the AE C tower; you have to change the tower out along with the U brace.

Why is everyone switching to hexes? I never have spun out the rear pin in my b4, t4 or sc10. It makes sense for a SCT, ST or 4X buggy so you can run backs up front but 1/10 buggy? Makes no sense! I'm not buying all new wheels and tires so if anyone has switched PM me i'll buy your old ones!
Hex adapters on buggy...a few good things:
-front tires don't have bearings in the wheels
-you can put front tires on the back to break them in (typically on the street)
-Rear wheel/tire shared between TLR22, B4.1, and RB5 = all 3 major brands
-Front wheel shared between B4.1 and RB5
-Reduces broken wheel pins, and no wheel pins to fall out
I personally don't re-use wheels so I don't mind switching over. I only keep 1-2 pairs of each tire tread/compound and every time I mount new ones of the same tread, I throw away my oldest set.

I am very much pro hex for the convenience of it. And it seems to becoming the standard. I expect the B5 to be hex and metric. Keep in mine, AE made the conversion to hex for the buggy, maybe that was a hint, lol. And they even make wheels for it.
No, AE made hex for the sc10, not the b4.1. It just happens to fit. If hex drive is still the fad when the b5 comes out, it will probably have hexes. But, I don't think the b5 is even on the radar yet.
then why do they have an axle for each and different plastic hexes?

Actually, they make the coversion parts for both the B4 and the SC...front axles and hexes are different
To convert the B4 to hex drive, these parts must be combined with Associated B4 hex front axle set (ASC7496) and hex steering block set (ASC9880), as well as Kyosho RB5 compatible front wheels and Losi 22 compatible rear wheels.
