I am not clear on what the difference is. I am kinda confused. I have the MTK clutch basket. Would the new Top shaft help? Is the new TS pinned? Should I junk everything and get the $8 exotech clutch? Weird they call it a front clutch. Is that because it's on the outside, kinda like on the top.

the exotek clutch is not a clutch at all but a clutch eliminator. on the stock associated clutch the inner paid is used to control front wheel slippage and outer pad is used to control rear wheel slippage. the exotek replaces the inner pad and inner hub so its directly driven.no slip to the front wheels.
Hello i just picked up a new pre built kit. Builder wasnt all that smart and built it wrong/ruined some parts. But anyways im getting that all situated and for the price i paid its worth it. But im curious to what electronc set ups do you AE guys recommend in this car and also any hop ups you guys think are a must etc? Im a heavy racer so i want what makes it better not look better. Im already planning on sway bar kit but anything i need to increase durability etc? I plan to get a rx8 speedo but idk wha motor since its only a 540/550 sized car?? Thanks
idk the difference between the shafts either.

Which is considered "better" the 550 or 40. I was looking at scx tekin 4.5 550 motor?

My daughter's SC10 has been handling very well and the current set up is perfect for her driving style. I do have one continual issue though...
If I tighten the rear right tire like it should be, there is noticable drag when you give it a spin. Without tires, the driveline is silky smooth and very free. If I tighten it until it binds, then back off just a bit, the tire seldom stays on for an entire race. I've replaced the hex, the pin, the bearings and shimmed behind the pin. I've tried new tires and new lock nuts. I've even painted up the rear carrier, spun the tire and checked to see if it was rubbing. I've swapped tires around and still nothing.
Now that I type this, it just dawned on me that maybe the rear axle is slightly bent?
Anyway, any suggestions where to look or what to try next?
Thanks in advance...

Take apart the rear hub and check if the aluminum crush tube (# 91033) is installed between the bearings.
that's the first thing i would've checked... is anyone running the reedy motors in the sc10? whats the gearing of choice and temps? currently have a lrp 4.5 geared at 62/11.. just curious how hot the reedy gets.. and i also tried the tekin 4 pole 4600 and that thing is a beast.. but a lot of torque for my liking but cant complain!
