Marcus, now that your sponsored by BH do you plan to carry their ESCs? I'll be ordering some stuff form you this week and also a BH ESC but if your carrying them then I will wait and get them in the same place.

It looks to me like your outdrive shaft is bent. The wobble is visible on the spur as well as the nut on the end of the shaft.

Would that cause it to be loud?

If it is bent it is causing more friction. Anytime you have friction you will have noise. It doesn't take much with a precision machine like these. I would dis assemble it and check that shaft. if it is not the shaft check each bearing bushing and washer and gear. Something is either not put together right or bent in my opinion. Some of the pros may have differing opinion.

Not sure, i dont want to have to deal with warranty stuff, electrical items can be a handfull. Stan and i have been talking about it we will see.

That is definitely overtightened, tighten only until the spring compresses not any more and then back off a half a turn. the noise is caused by the bent shaft. IF you back off the nut it should go back straight. If you back it off and it slips order a new V2 spring, they do get soft over time.

Same advice, back off in half turn increments, the coils should just "kiss" each other, if you end up ordering a new shaft also order a V2 spring.

I am running the sway bars. I started out with yellow for the front and rear. Could you point me in the direction for the shims and adaptors? Maybe any instructions as well.. Thanks!

Ok, what can I do to tune them? Sorry as I'm still a newb with slippers.

Maybe a new spur & pinion is due , lots of crud stuck in between the teeth on the spur .

and

The top shaft is bent bad .....

TRACK TEST REPORT

I try out the ft spring on the back deal for the last two club races .

Use the white ft , white was firmer but even with the extra high traction we have at Trcr the truck was a bit loose and lost to much steering on the infield .
Was better entering sweeper & high speed turns though ...

My average fast lap was about 17.0 with the ft white then put the yellow standard rear back on .

Went faster & able to get back into the 16sec range ....
Also was a lot more consistent due to the extra traction making a lot fewer mistakes .....

Need some setup help. Just finished my ft with center diff, 8mm mod, exotec chassis, 5k front, 3k rear diff oils, two stage pistons with 30f/25r. All else is kit setup. Truck feels OK, not much steering. Any suggestions? As far as ride height where should I measure it? Thanks.

How long did all that take to do those upgrades??
Just wondering, because i am doing the same...

I have been using the White front springs in the rear , but after putting on the Exotek chassis,
I am going to go with the (Green front springs on rear)...
I believe that is what a lot of people are doing?, correct?
or are people going with the blue/yellow front in the rear with the Exotek? I forgot...

It should be to the level of the cross pins, just covering them. After it "sunk in" of course, which can take a while with thick oils.

Just finished a full rebuild from RTR to parts and screws to roller (will be getting new ESC).
Death toll:
Belt cover bent and cracked
Front bumper cracked
Font Arms warped beyond usable
Wheels bearing are on their last leg

Not bad for 6 months with none of the above parts replaced except for arms. I can't race for a couple more weeks so I figured now would be a great time for a rebuild.
