If that's 2S in parallel like I see it, you don't get more power from shorties over saddles or stick packs... Please don't be ridiculous.

2s in parallel would give more punch as the total amount of current draw from each battery is cut in half or you have twice the potential current of a single 2s. It could be a way to cheat more "C" rating. No more speed as voltage stayed the same.

I completely agree......... The only advantage I see with inline 1s lipo's is a little bit more balanced and weight and that's it........

Glad to see your still sticking around Coyote even though your no longer going to be keeping your sc10...... If you have extra modded diff's I'd def. be interested lol

I've got the two new ones for my own truck. But i'm probably going to sell them with my Rig as a RCTech Sc10 4x4. =P

they should fit, might have to trim the bead of the tire a bit as some manufactures beads are thicker then others.

Hang on, now. Didn't you see the extended conversation of the last two pages? If not, thefatkid gave you the conclusion. Turns out it's not ridiculous.

Maybe, but the mod he showed was a couple of 2S packs run in parallel. I've seen other 4x4's at the same track (other brands) with the same type of mod.

All that's been done is more mAh shoved into a small package. No voltage gain, no C rating gain. There is no power gained. I'll go re-read over that conversation but simple math tells the tale.

Edit: Okay, so it's about amps. Yeah, I really don't put any credit into that when my car weighs what it does. It's a 6pound car getting around a 150x150 Track guys. Naive? aight.

Default Bending ball studs

To all those running the 8mm mod .. you seeing much issues with the rear 12mm ball studs bending. Are the ti ni any stronger , or just coated for smoother action. I am running 7 mm stack of ae blue ball stud washers and I am seeing some bending issues. One of the track I run has a section where ya come out of a 90* right hander into a set of triples that lands at a 180 degree right hander. I am killing the rear left hand ball stud as I land on the rear left trying to set up for the 180.

Any thoughts on a way to re enforce the ball stud ?

Thanks

If you look back a number of pages there was an idea where the ballstud went through a block of metal that had 2 holes in it, the ballstud went through one and a screw in the other to sort of stabilize the top of the ballstud so it would not bend. In theory it should work very well.

Don't think you need too reinforce , stud is very strong as I have yet to even bend one.
TinZ coated studs are not any stronger than the plain steel ...
