I have the triad on my X-Factory X-60cf and SCx-60cf (stadium truck and short course) and love both the Avid gear!

Yes the pads still work like new after wearing out a gear box .

So after your insight & enlightenment experiment ?

Will still have to purchase a Triad for your B4 ......
So you tested the pads in the manner as I mentioned WC? The garodiscs in a direct swap in comparison to stock or HD pads and the stock and HD pads wore better and gripped better than garodiscs?

As for the experiment inquired, about, I was referring to the SC10 4x4.

As for the b4.1, I am looking at the garodiscs since I like the fact I can use my AE spurs. The Avid may be the better option however, may look into that down the road if needed.

The Garodisc's had more bite than anything I'd tried, especially with the basket and extra disc.

The Triad is the most driveable slipper I've ever had and it's now in all my cars.

heavyjeffd: How has wear been comparing garodiscs to any other pads? Have you tried garodiscs in the triad?

No, I had the garodiscs on the stock slipper with the basket so I had 3 pads. Wear was fine, raced for about a year on them and they still look good.

I don't know if they make garodiscs for the Triad? I haven't checked. I like the Triad the way it is, I wouldn't change it.

yeah they have garodiscs for the triad setup:

http://www.rcshox.com/triad-garodisc/

Avid approved as well from what it says.

My main curiosity from the SC10 4x4 perspective is since WC has gone now to 4 pads curious if someone else who has the garodisc setup for the VTS or other clutch basket system could compare to 4 HD pads to see how performance is between the two. Or, who knows, how the perform is with a 4 pad garo setup lol.

I ran the 3 pad garo setup for a long time with the slipper spring almost fully compressed. I liked it with more of a coupled feel.

Ran for 5 days or about 12 packs
on B4 & 4x4 then gave them back ....

When i test or try anything , do it for days & weeks before deciding ...
Even if I hate it ....

try the QUAD pad set-up, cus it cheap to do with which ever pad you choose....
Quad pad VTS offer's better adjustable, traction & smoothness ..
lap times show a big improvement right after 1st lap

So the wear on the garodiscs was worse than the stock pads and the stock pads gripped better than the garodiscs?

Wear was not a issue , feel & performance was in my case ....

So I used yellow VTS in B4 for months..
Then switched to the Triad 2 months ago .

Believe me , the Avid offers better performance compared to all the others ...

Triad makes a huge improvement in performance for your B4, B44 & Sc102w...

Everything i've read on the garodiscs, people have found a huge improvement over the stock HD VTS on the SC10 4X4. That is the main reason it got me thinking to give them a try, so we'll see.

Pretty much. That is why I am curious how well the performance is compared to this whole 4 pad thing WC is running with.

Your best bet vito is to post it in the for sale section on RC Tech. Not sure how much of a bite you will get as the SC10 4x4 hasn't inspired confidence enough to keep the prices up in the used market, but its worth a shot.
