You can get a V2.1 120A for a bit over $100 now...I just picked up one of their motors (will use for 2WD buggy) which is sensored...we'll see how that works.

The brushless hobbies I cannot speak of...their programmers and even the units themselves look like knock-offs of others but perhaps Mantis is correct...
Thanks for the insight, but the honest truth I'm done with hobbywing/gens ace items due to hobbypartz terrible customer service...... I actually owned a few hobbywing esc's from their xerun 60a to 120a and I personally didn't like them. I mainly run tekin now (best customer service out there IMO) and have had "0" issue's with any of their products I own, and the only reason why I'm not putting a tekin setup on my backup sc10 is I just want to try something different out and want something cheap. I mean you can't beat 57 bucks for a 120a esc......BTW I just ordered two of them, I hear they go out of stock pretty fast and can take some time to restock at times......

I mated the motor to my trusty MMP and after only about 4 speed runs in the front yard the motor temped at 103* but the MMP logged 125*. That's pretty hot for such a short run time. This same MMP never got past 110* even after 8-10min track runs with a Pro4 4000 in my SC10 4x4. Brushlesshobbies maybe an affordable option. Any thoughts of the BrushlessHobbies handling this Revtech?
If you are running in grass, its going to heat up that ESC more that track running.

Those ebay esc's 120a http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sensored-Bru...item5ae68565c5 i bought one for back next to my havo pro sc xdrive... Good Esc for the price can use any hobbywing and speed passion firmware with lots of features and adjust-ability good back ESC, and you can save multiple Profiles so you can save all your cars settings and just switch as needed......

Just made this mod, works good, truck can now hold a nice power slide and power out of it straight with very little driver input, seems to smooth out all the rear end, it's a keeper.

Guys, checked my front and rear arms, they all have some warping at the wheel end but are not binding at all either end, I don't mind getting RPM arms but was wondering if these arms would affect the handling of the truck much, or at all?

So if the new shims mean the outdrive shim isn't used does it mean i'll be able to use my assortment of various sized mountain bike brake disc shims and leave the outdrive shim out if its all a little bit to tight?
That would be ideal as there is a very limited supply of shims over here. I can't find ofna or kyosho shims unless i buy from the states.

Thanks for all the help/tips on the esc/motor recommendations everyone........ I found what I was looking for and got everything for a really good price. My backup sc10 4x4 will be going to my supervisor from work, I'm trying to get him into rc's and wanted to get him something good for the least amount of money..........

I thought it was said by someone (an AE Driver I believe) that they would not be doing new stiffer a-arms due to cost?

Not that I am complaining if they do, just curious if you have insight into what changed that impression.

Anyone know if we can get the first page updated with new info? I remember the previous thread owner mentioning he was moving on and wanted to have someone else be able to update it. would be nice to have all the great new upgrades / mods mentioned there in one place.

just finished building the new FT kit. noticed some changes here and there, can't wait to see how it compares to my year old beast, had most of the mods on it but there is always something about a fresh new kit.

one of the better builds i've done, everything goes together real nice.

got the kit tyres on it and a 5200kv 4-pole tenshock geared and boosted to the moon for a ceremonial street drag against the mod the T3. Last time I tried this trick I badly melted the belt housing (in less than 2 minutes).

report to follow.
