SC10 4x4 Thread
I'm currently pushing 62/14, 4000kv, diff v2, and 6 pins. I'm going to a large outdoor track and was looking to drop my 4600 and was looking for a safe pinion to start and so tips. My truck has never touched dirty strictly clay.
Mine is the SSC and yes it does drive better than the SC10..a buddy of mine is currently racing mine and he pretty much owns the local tracks with it..CraigMBA knows this to be true..
..wicked fast..it's been raced for a year..hard..no parts failures, still on the ORIGNAL diff gears..diff cases..only thing that gets replaced is the plastic drivelines..about every 3 months..I'm not giving up on my SC10 but outdoors the LCG slash owns the SC10..it is what it is..and on the slash..it's zero maintance in a year..

Truck will be rebuilt to 100% soon and ran. But it's staying indoors. There I just need to 'be better'. Driving outside with such leniency is nothing like this indoor garbage. =P
BTW: This is nowhere near a deterrent to buy this platform. It'll just make or break ya'.
Stay where you are at , i run 14/60 with the 4600. 15/60 with boost on the 4000.
And it's easy to drive. But the driver being a real wheelman helps. He made the A at a national event in modified truck against all the fast guys (before he had a drivers license, or they split the sportsman guys out separate).
To me the SSC handles in-between the Losi & associated..personally I like the way the SC10 handles..I raced on road for about 10 years so I like the razor edge handling of the SC10..

Mark is a really good guy. I was racing with him last weekend, I drove his 4X4 and he drove my SC10 4X4 and The SSC slash wasnt for me, My driving style suites the SC10 better. It seemed you had to drive more aggresive with the slash than you do with the SC10.

I have just bought the FT kit and and going to have to use a 540 setup until I can get an RX8 to install. In the mean time I will be running a Ballistic 6.5 and an LRP SPX Stock Spec. This does not have a heat sink. Would this truck and motor create too much heat on the speedo?

I'm going here on Thursday. I run on clay 99 percent of my time. I'm excited to try something different.

I'm not 100 percent if it's the newest layout but I'll let you know Thursday night.
