So, I went 2 cheaper batteries, for now.

Question:
The Black&Red wire from my ESC,
I can put Bullets on each 1& plug str8 into the
Saddle packs correct?? Instead of Deans connections.
That way no wires coming from battery...
Will it work like with the Stick packs??
I know with the Gens Ace stick packs that is how
alot of PPL do it.

Yes you can as shown in a pic here:

#91174 FT upgrade kit

www.rc10.com
I baught this kit for mine. I needed the chassis brace after casing a really big jump and throwing the belt. I replaced the belt with a new one and added the STRC tension pullies and the VTS slipper at the same time. Well worth the money. I don't have proper saddle packs yet so I will run the stick pack until I do get something good. Was considering the Reedy 60c packs. Won't be able to get anything too soon anyway.

My truck is the original kit with FT hex kit, sway bars. yellow springs, FT chassis brace, VTS slipper, STRC tensioners. I am lacking the FT Shocks and TiN hinge pins, light weight outdrives and aluminum hardware of the FT kit to get up to snuff with the latest. I have not upgraded to the Exotek chassis but it would be nice to. I will be running on large 8th scale tracks in Brazil so could use a little more low slunge weight.

Anyone have a source of the version 2 Exotech chassis? Local shop has v1, but I want to utilize the FT saddle pack cradle. Stormer shows some in stock, but isn't clear on which version would actually arrive.

Funny thing when I ordered my chassis from trick parts I actually got in the invoice of what Exotek charges trick parts for the chassis. was interesting to see how markup goes. They and the places selling it aren't making a big killing thats for sure.

I'll bite, Assuming you start with an FT SC10 4x4:

- Exotek Chassis
- Basically all the RC Shox stuff except maybe the ackerman bar (since you do get the AE updated one)
- Front spring kit

Those would be on my list to purchase right away. I would also consider the alloy servo saver assembly that I think STRC has out.

Hi Guys,

considering to get my son a FT, but just want to get some feedback as on how it is when its maintenance time, i know its a great car but from the looks of it looks like i would break an arm and a leg just to pull out the tranny to change the oil... i may be wrong but would appreciate feedback from you guys.

Thanks,

its definitely not as easy as other vehicles thats for sure. But, once you get used to it, its not that bad.

If you start from the RTR or original kit I have the following list that I am recommending to a friend:

Upgrades for the SC10 4x4 RTR

- FT Upgrade Kit ASC1174
- FT Aluminum Wheel Hexes ASC91171
- FT Rear Sway Bars ASC91124
- FT Front Sway Bars ASC91123
- AE 13mm Front Springs Yellow ASC91162 (use blue front in rear)

Clearly the Exotek chassis would be good but he is not racing and we are in Brazil so this is a little more of a stretch.

I was wondering the same thing. I sent emails to both exotek and to stormer yesterday but I haven't gotten a response from either yet.

Anyone hear have a v2 chassis and a factory team kit built?

I just spoke with Stormer Hobbies and they have them in stock. Bought one and they said they would ship it priority for their asked S&H fee. Looking forward to seeing the improvent in handling after running my FT for a while without, be an interesting comparison and will post up once I get a little time with it.
