Hello I have a question, Is there a way to test spring rates. I bought a sc104x4 and it came with a full set of front and rear springs, problem is some of the springs have there colors marking rubbed off at the bottom and im not 100% sure if they were put back in the same place.

Most likely blue , borrow a set from a buddy and compare yours with those.

Kody listed 3ds on his sheet.

I really like barcodes/double dees when they work.

Default Inside ball stud location

People are talking about getting the 12mm ball studs to raise the inner location as high as possible. IIRC there was someone who posted a pic where they drilled a new hole into the side of the shock tower where the ball stud would be perpendicular to the current location. People thought he was crazy trying to get it that high but now it seems like the thing to do. Would it be better to do this vs using the longer ball studs, just seems like you extend those ball studs too high that it would be easy to snap them. I know I snapped one off a long time ago but it was my fault because I had taken the back end apart and forgot to tighten down that ball stud so it was raised up without support.

What are the advantages of the Factory Team upgrade kit? I am have only a few runs in my SC10 and was wondering if the kit is worth buying.

Thanks!

I just got a ridiculous deal on a 2-3 day old FT kit. If my ESC comes in tomorrow, I'll get to run it on Saturday. Can't wait!

What are you guys running for gearing on a Tekin 5.5?

A quick search suggests a 15-16T pinion. Any objections? I'll be running on a smallish indoor track. The straight is about 50 ft.

Start out with 15/60 or 62 and monitor temps if your not overheating try gearing up to a 16/60.......

Why not, if it were the 4.5 then I'd say go no higher then a 12, I used to own the tekin 5.5 before I bought the pro4 and I geared mine at 15/60 and I had no issues at all and I run on a small clay track.....

Why would u not gear that low??? Ur losing alot of acceleration gearing that high on a small track , i use a 15 tooth on a huge 1/8 scale track
