wanted to get a lil feed back on how you guys handle makin adjustments to your turn buckles an ball caps..i am struggling cause when i try and make fine adjustment i cant just take the turn buckle wrench and make the adjustment cause the ball cups pop off..i am thinking maybe if i figure out the lenghts of the inner or outer length of the turnbuckle with ball cups and just use a caliper .i tried holding the ball cup so it wont pop off and that usually just make the other side pop off and i cant hold both ends and make adjustments, ive tried.by the time i got my fine tuning done i fell like i have popped my ballcups on and off way to many times..i have heard suggestions such as black grease on the threads of turnbuckle before threading on ballcups .ive heard you have to work the ball cups back and forth up and down the length of the threads a few times to make them "workable" in adjusting..all the ballcups are fresh its a frsh kit and i have replaced any ballcup that has ever popped off..thnks for any help..hope no one gets all excited cause this question has been adressed before..

Dig in your wifes purse and steel a tube of ChapStik. In my case, I ended up with a vanilla scented tube with glitter in it, perfect...
Anyways, take all your turnbuckles apart and mount one of them into the chuck of your drill. Apply a little bit of the ChapStik to the end of the turnbuckle (directly to the threads for each ball cup, doesnt have to be much), grab a ball cup, and thread it onto the turnbuckle making the drill do the work. Run it all the way in and out 2 times each and repeat the process on the remaining ball cups. Use the one turnbuckle to thread all of the ball cups and like I said, run each ball cup twice. Remove the turnbuckle from the drill (careful, it will be hot) and reassemble all of your turnbuckles. You'll be able to adjust them with the wrench included in the kit without them popping off.
Thread I made on the subject a while back.

but the makin it easier/faster by mounting a turnbuckle into a drill part and working it should cut down on my time of gettin them all "adjustable" thnks alot
I've never had one pop of on my buggy yet,but i have had two in the rear at the hub shear in half, never had that happen to me before.

I only once bent a stock a.e turnbuckle and that landing was terrible=]

it was a new layout....
The rear inner ballcups start to deform where the threads on the turnbuckle end. If you use the stock ones long enough or do enough kartwheels, they'll snap.
I replaced them with RPMs after they get really bad.
