I tried 75, 78 and 81. Always went back to 81. It's a prefrence thing.
Hope this helps!
yup. with the 10.5 I ended up moving to a 78 and gearing up a tooth on the pinion and the car was a lot smoother and less punch at the end of the power band .

the limiters go under the piston on the shock shaft. Start with 2 all around.

Thanks for the quick reply. What do you mean by 2? 2x 1mm washers on each shock shaft? Or is there a part that I could purchase that is made for this?

The limiters come in the kit but any shim that fits the diameter of the shock shaft will do the trick. Default setup is 2mm front and rear.

They go inside the shocks.

+1 but I think I would stick with plastic washers. I'm not sure I would add limiters until I know I need them either. They are a tuning aid like a lot of other things. Each track is a bit different and you will need to learn how to read your car to figure out whether it needs more or less limiters. Basically they limit the amount of weight transfer fore and aft and side to side as well. Check out elvo's handling guide for more info on it. Its a great reference.

Also, if you are really interested in learning how to tune, check out the Tuning With Camber Links thread on RC Tech here.

Thank you for the link! Wish I had this while I was building my car. Would have avoided an 8hr build

Installation is covered in the FT manual (I just did a Worlds Car build and it is the same manual). The only time I'd not use the limiters would be for an extremely rough track.

HAHAHA...I doubt you would save any time in the long run. The telenet website has quite a bit of reading and the tuning with camber links thread is so long you grow old before you get to the end of it. Its all great stuff to know though if you are fairly serious about making your car work better and understanding why it works.

Now that I am thinking about it. I do have them in there. Just got confused. I thought they go on the bottomshaft itself (outside). Thanks for clearing this out.

With the spring set, I can outfit my 2wd and 4wd car with 1 buggy spring set...so you're not ending up with a bunch of un-used springs. If you search for posts by my username, I already posted my standard setups to start with.

I keep hearing that the search function "does not work", so I tried it. Typed "losi springs parts needed" and the 3rd or 4th post on the very first page was Bob Barry's post with the parts needed. So, does the search function not work, or is the search process too complicated? Hmmm......
