For the shorty lipo slide it back as far as you can and add weight up front, you will gain alot of rear traction without sacrificing to much steering at all.I did this last time and the car was stuck to the track.1.5 pads in the reAr
SUPP BUD? man i havent been able to try shorty pack set up yet but i am goin to soon. on wc new layout the red/yellow combo seems soo much more predictable on all those steep rollers they have right now.u rinnin stock or mod latley?

if you look at chad's setup with the red/white you must notice he is running losi 56 pistons that makes the car react as if the spring is stiffer, it also makes the suspension more plush then ae pistons after just installing them with the same oils and the same springs

that being said i got silver with losi 55/ae 32.5wt // pink with losi 56/ae27.5wt right now, and wont know how it works till this weekend

there isnt really a "set" starting point, seems like some like 1 pad up front, others like 2 pads in the rear.
in the +8 buggy it takes about 6 standard foams total, if i remeber from when i did have a shorty

I talked to couple of the local AE guys and they said that the Shorty was better on low bite tracks and for the clay/high bite, everyone went to either that wolf pack or full size. take it fwiw.

Yes I do, I like the feel it gives the car over a standard pack. I was running a shorty with the AE Brown/Green setup. I've only stuck the standard pack back in on very very loose conditions.

I run stock and have been running Chad's set-up, but went to orange/yellow spring. I feel like the red/white made the car real twitchy and roll a lot on the front. I can drive the car a lot harder now, but for mod I could see running it as you want more steering and grip.
