SC10 4x4 Thread
Well good news and bad news for my two SC10's.......
The good news is my FT SC10 ran great, I put in my rcshox center diff and 2 stage pistons (22.5w rear/ 27.5w front), adjusted the camber and toe, ride height and went with yellow springs front, and front blue in the rear.........Truck felt great around the track, the center diff. is still IMO alot better then the original clutch setup and the FT version..........
The bad news is my original SC10 was down once again, the new motor/esc setup I got was having issues, after soldering everything up the first thing I noticed was that the program card did not work, then after I calibrated it to my tx/rx it would run for a few seconds and shut down (this was from bench testing). I checked all my solder work connections and everything looked fine, I added a glitchbuster just to see if that would help and it did not......... So unfortunately I have to contact ckhobby's to see what their return/warranty policy is now.
Kind of bummed out because I really wanted to compare my center stick pack to the saddle pack version.............

Lol yes its the toro combo, for the few seconds that it did last running it felt like it had great power and it was geared a little low.......... I'm hoping ckhobby will do something about this but we'll see..............
They were really quick getting my motor out when I bought it, let's hope they are just as quick with warranty.

i put a havoc non x drive in mine for now. i "borrowed" it from my 13.5 stadium truck till next payday then ill get a esc for the 4x4. i have probably 50 hours on it so far and its running fine. of course i dont put any boost on it at all, i just geared the vehicle to temp and ran it

the slipper pads provide the grip that actually drives your truck...so yes, you need them. if they are slipping out of the keyed section that the seat into on the spur, then you're probably letting them fall out when you install the slipper. Turn your truck on it's right side (so that the top shafts are pointing down) and let gravity hold the inside pad in place while you slide the spur onto the shaft.
Alternatively, get the RCShox Garodiscs. Mine fit SO perfectly into my spur gear that they essentially snapped into place and WILL not fall out...even when tapping on the backside of the spur.

i have the f.t kit i just completed yesterday in saddle pack form. my havoc has a fan on top of it. i removed the belt cover pieces then mounted the esc and then put the belt covers back on. the havoc pro i got has plastic rubber type screws that hold the fan on. those came off a long time ago and metal ones went on. with the metal screw heads i couldnt get the esc with fan to slide in under the belt cover. so i lined up the esc so the bolt heads went to the sides of the cover. i mounted it with the solder posts to the outside. i can still see the lights for callibration when i started it up. i put the cap to the right side of the saddle pack wall and the on off switch is back in that motor pinion bay (what ever it is called) vertical on the wall so i can still get in to adjust pinion mesh
edit. im heading out for an easter get together. if you need a pic ill put one up later when i get home if you like

i cant see it very well. you have the 550 novak motor? did you dremel much to get it to fit? i went with a viper 5.0 L (shorter can) it slides in and out with pinion on and the motor wires still on rather easily

this comes out in may. they claim its robust and can handle 4 pole. i wonder how it would do with a tekin or that team epic multi pole revtech
