Default LiPO Saddle Pack Inquiry

For those of you running saddles in your SC10, what battery are you running? I am prepping myself for my new FT sc10 and wanting to start researching saddle packs. Thought that I might ask here first.

keep spare arms on you, rpms are always a good thing.

Gens Ace work for me . They are dirt cheap.

I wouldn't touch Gen-ace, Turnigy, Sky, Blue, Hai, with a very long stick.

But ultimately it's your decision. The Gen aces however are only 25c and that depending on your system is going to stress the battery heavily. You should benchmark 35c or more. I think C rating is extremely overhyped... But a "true" 35c battery won't be stressed by the power.

No you weren't. Pay no attention to him.

550 motors have more grunt. The drawback is they are heavy.

The 540's that are sensored 4000 kv and up are the way pretty much everyone is going because they are light, have just as much torque as a 550 can, yet have a lot of top end speed.

the motor you run comes down to, what kind of track you run, your preference, and your wallet.

You really shouldn't comment on stuff you have no experience with.

Gens Ace are fine. I have run about 15*20 packs on mine with no problems.

I run a RX8 with a Tekin Pro4 4600 and Savox servo. No puffing and long run times.

Another member here Rickybobbyxxx runs a Tenshock motor with a rx8 and Gens Ace hold up fine.

Plenty of people run the Gens Ace in b44's and Durango SCT's with no issues either.

I've had bad luck with Turnigy running a stickpack on sc10 2wd. that battery really is a piece of crap. Not only did it puff, but it fell apart.

If I had the $$ I'd go with an Orion or Reedy but I don't have that kind of $$ laying around. (yet)

I don't think spektrum HV servo's are as bad as the savox ones so I don't see an issue but I'd still install a cap just incase.....
thanks. I thought the cap would be okay. but, just wanted to double check.

that tekin pro4 is looking nice. Everyone keeps on talking about it. I'm still a little partial to the orion 550 though. Does anyone know if any of the pro associated drivers drive that tekin pro4 motor in the sc10 4x4?
