I also bought a separate stock body that had no window masks.. but I could care less, certainly no reason to cry cheap... look at the kit ... Im gonna mask in my own in the shape of a ...

Ill take a few shots as I go along, thanks for the tip to wash all the screws!! and yeah, need more build pics in this newbie thread!

only mods I picked up were the M2C front shock tower guard/cover. Help protect the carbon tower better, even with sanding and ca all the edges.

Have a tekin rx8 w a 2050 motor setup going in... Im a little anxious about this area a bit..

my track is a large, outdoor and "fast" ... my nitro struggles a little with low end power in certain parts, but Im expecting that wont be a problem with this car.

1/8 elec are setting track records... with the Associated car now less, and I havent seen one of these out there... soo well have to see wuts wut after the raining stops...

Are you referring to Revelations? That's where I run. If so, Looks like there will be two 811e's running out there soon. As, soon as this blasted rain is over with.

I too run at revelation when I am able to. With a baby and being on call at work, things get tough

I hear that! I haven't raced at Rev in a long time...do they usually have a electric 1/8 class?

Only if enough of them show up. For events there usually is enough. Sometimes there isn't for club races, so they stick you with the nitros. I don't mind. I like running long mains.

As you move through the ackerman options you increase steering responsiveness. 3 is the most mild with 1 being the most aggressive.

Welcome to the snake pit JP and Mrnizzles......great choice!
I've been giving my 811e a beating!
I even broke the rear chassis brace and wing Braces.
I discovered Serpent does make aluminum chassis braces for this car but they
Are only listed on Serpentamerica.com web site. There prices are the lowest I discovered as well but they do charge shipping, unlike Amain.

EDIT: I just spoke with John at http://www.clockworkracingengines.com/ and he is going to start stocking these aluminum chassis braces for this car.

I'm going to tear my car down And change diff fluids.
I'm running a large outdoor fast high bite track.
Should I stick with 5k-5k-3k diff fluid?

I'll post some pics later in the week when I get some new stuff installed.

Hello

Iīm between the serpent and the durango but i havenīt got time to read the whole thread to know the pros and cons and main issues of the car.

Can anyone relate the main issues and some pros and cons?

I just bought a mbx6eco but i dont like the way it drives and i think it is very fragil.
The steel and the plastics from serpent looks like xray ones right?

thanks for all

There are no issues with this car. Any upgrades are optional. Being a novice driver on a really big and fast track with lots of big jumps. I've had many BIG end over end crashes and full speed, I've only broken a few small pieces, like plastic chassis brace, turnbuckle end, and wing brace and shock stand off. Guys that are good drivers are probably not breaking anything.
This car is TOUGH with high quality plastics.
I have 2 friends running mugens here, and although its a great ca, they drive nice, but they are lightweight and fragile. Both of these guys are braking A Arms regularly on their Mugens. I can't comment on the Durango.

Some pros about this car are tough durable plastics, strong a arms, long lasting drive train parts that don't wear out, well built shocks that don't leak and keep your oil clean. Diffs don't' leak.(center does a little but an easy fix) you can use your 2s stick packs from other cars so you probably don't need to buy new batteries. Tough thick body that can take a beating. And you will get lots of compliments at the track on the Serpent.

cons: they're not cheap, but you will save money in the long run of not having to replace a lot of broken parts.

Ok, which one of you guys is right? Option 1 comes with the car and this is the mildest steering?

I'm getting lots of steering now but I would like some more since there are lots of 180's on my track. I will buy the option 2 if that is more aggressive then stock.

Just looked at the manual and the default setup sheet and both say the car comes with a 3...a 2 would give to less steering/smoother steering. BTW im right ill bet my 811BE on it.
