With my Exotek chassis, I use the B44.1 posts, thumbscrews and set screws (I don't know why those thumbscrews are so darned expensive! ) A local guy Dan, who owns rccarbonworks.com made me the top straps and the chassis battery holders, based on the B44.1.

I use a Protek 4200mAh 30C saddle pack. I can easily remove and install my batteries. I haven't tried the thicker packs yet as we only run 5-minute qualifiers and mains. I rarely use half of my packs with my RX8 & Pro4 4000kV. If I start running on bigger tracks with longer mains, I'd most likely need to look at the Gens Ace 6000mAh packs with higher C ratings.

Todd, go to rcshox.com and just pick up the garodiscs for the stock slipper. It's what I run and they won't wear, slip, glaze or fade.

While you're there, look at the center diff Marcus makes...that'll be the next step.

Thank you for the pic. Do you have to use the Exotech chassis for that saddle pack setup I like the idea but I dont know if I want to drop the money on the chassis yet

No I believe you can mount it on a stock chassis, you may have to drill holes though.

I've been trying to read through all of the page results for exotek chassis. But, there are quite a lot.

I'm trying to figure out for the factory team sc10 4x4 that comes with the chassis brace if I need the exotek chassis. It seems that you can either just have the exotek chassis or have the chassis brace and add weight as needed (i.e. essentially the factory team version).

However, would it be overkill to have the exotek chassis on the factory team version (essentially the exotek chassis and the chassis brace at the same time)? How many of you guys run both the exotek chassis and the chassis brace at the same time? How does it perform with both? Seems this way, you would eliminate the need for weights.

Thanks and sorry if this has already been discussed.

Just be careful with the novak setup, I don't know if they've resolved their issue with their esc's catching fire, also with that motor you will need to dremel out parts of the chassis in order for it to fit......
