SC10 4x4 Thread
Cav just raced 2w mod (Invitational class) and Mod truck. The Locals took care of the rest.
in A1 of Mod truck he ran the last two laps on three wheels and still took the win.
He did loose A2 pretty fair and square then punished everyone in A3. Fun to watch for sure.

Kyosho got SC2 I guess?
Thanks for the info Cameron. I'll be back out there sundays. No way I was going to hang out in that pile unless I was comfortable racing.
So has anyone tried these rear hubs by Hot Racing. With having a replaceable bolt on camber tab possibilities are endless with camber height. I am going to get a set to test. Cav said he has a set but has not had a chance to do any testing. On the 2w truck and buggy he has been running a lower camber link in the rear. He said it makes the rear feel stiffer and less likely to bottom out when landing jumps when you get on the power and feels better in the corners: it works especially good at tracks like a PRCR type track.
Seems we are trying to get the rear stiffer with springs so it is worth a try to see want a lower camber link would feel like. Not sure what to do about making the rear inner camber lower on the shock tower yet.

This little piggy jumps the quads at Mike's, this is with Cristian T at the wheel. The truck is using his saddle pack conversion.(Maybe he will chime in later). After about five laps into it he started clearing the quads. He was overshooting them by 2-3 ft easily. He repeated this for 8 laps.
The set up is a tweaked FT setup w/clutch basket. It weights in at 6.35lbs or 6lbs 5.6 oz with body. I only added 1/2 inside the reciever box. cross weights at 50-50 and front to rear bias = 46-54.

Noticed my batteries stArt at 7.1 to 7.5 but I'm still putting 4500 mah in a 5600. Just assumed it was regenerated voltage between stop running and charging. Do u put full mah into your batteries. Thinking my lipo cutoff in my havok pro sc may be wrong. Not adjustable though. Guess I could try a external cutoff. What's your thoughts. Also charge is after cc cv is complete.

Quads are not the problem, the triples are!!

I have the full RCshox package for the sc10 4x4 on the way and will be running it at Psycho Nitro Blast this weekend. Big props to Marcus for getting it out to me last minute for this race. If anyone wants to check it all out, look for me, I and my wife will be wearing orange team hoodies.

Well guys I took the plunge and bought another sct 4x4 to test out. I just couldn't pass up the great deal I got on the SCTE, so I will be using it most likely for my local outdoor 1/8th track and keep my sc10 4x4 for my local tight indoor track.....Will give my opinion on both when I get to test out each one on both an indoor and outdoor track.
SCTE 4x4:
Tekin RX8
Pro4 4000kv
Hitec 7955TG
Losi Flex tuned chassis
TLR Tuning Kit
And a bag full of enough spares to build almost another scte
SC10 4x4:
Tekin RX8
Pro4 4000kv
Savox 1267
RCshox Pistons
RCshox Gar. pads
RCshox Center Diff
RCshox ackbar

Anyway, first run the vehicle was not very good. It would would take the jumps well, and I could easily downside a jump or pitch the car at least downward in the air. Not big track here so that's probably why. I did however have traction rolling issues, come into a turn with power, and over she would go. hit a bump, and over she would go. I found myself gunning the throttle and jamming the brake to get around the track which isn't how I normally drive, obiviously affecting motor temp.
Did not see it mentioned yet but you may want to try some spacers under your inner ball studs. This helped me huge with the traction rolling issues. 4 to 5mm is not an uncommon number mentioned. I am running 3 front and 4 rear.
