SC10 4x4 Thread
Good your not over driving ....

give it a go though
. The set-up I suggested has good corner speed & great steering .....
How is Shortening or Lengthening the Wheelbase going to affect this 4x4? I realized I've never touched that. (looks like most haven't) but I was curious in relation to PRCR. (see video 2 or 3 pages back)

I know its a couple of pages back, but I wanted to post some info about the Motorama race and the track. They were some strange rough conditions. Doing some post race de-briefing and talking to some Losi guys I know (and yes I should have done this during the weekend) - they were actually using the drop screws in the Losi to limit the down travel. Those holes (too big to be called ruts) would catch a whole wheel and spin you out. The AE's had more downtravel, so when the tire was going over the holes, it would fall into the hole and get caught. So in hindsight, I would have loved to change that, I actually added downtravel to my truck, thinking it would help absord the ruts, but it was actually hurting me, more I added worse the truck got on the track. This was my first weekend with the truck, can't wait to get it on a flat track like we normally race on. Just wanted to share my .02.

just getting back into this truck. I've had it for a few months, but I raced it for the first time this last weekend. I have to say that it is amazing to drive. I almost want to sell everything I have and just focus on this truck.
only one thing bothers me. The shocks. There is a ton of drag in the o rings. I remember reading months ago that there are caster o rings that work better. Anyone have a link to those or other o rings that work better?
As I skim though these pages, it seems that you guys are just removing the bottom o ring. I'll have to give that a feel test and see if it works for me. Are you guys finding one o ring to hold up nicely?

ok guys i just got an ae 4x4 what do you guys think about the tenshock 4600 kv motor on a momba monster speedo running on a 2s will this get the job done i guess gering would be the concern here i run at large 1/8th tracks here outdoor rough dusty red clay tracks
Hey JR
that motor should be overkill and work great if running on big 1/8 tracks all the time , will probably have a tough time getting use of all that power especially if a med to low bite track, definitly get the center diff if not a high bite track as it will put it down as balanced as possible, if not basket and pin it . That mamba monster internal bec is weak and will not power alot of the power hungry servos most run and will cause brown outs on alot of the rx.s out there. Might get away with running a cap or might havs to add the bird nests of wires that is the external bec to get good servo power and rx performance.
