Are any of you using an AM receiver? And to gain top speed I have to increase pinion size, right?

not in my case, its always had the same characteristics , its just amplified by the high speed jumps.

it just is different, the timing of the throttle/brake input in the air to get the right attitude is different. just a little slower feel. in fact i would say the feel is more like my b44.1 now, just slower movement/takes more pronounced input.

the truck is so much easier/faster to drive with the exotek though, so it doesn't matter how much i could flip it around in the air before. useless when it was way too reactive with not enough traction everywhere else on the track.

Trust me when I say the guys in the Houston area are spoiled with this covered off-road track. It is amazing and fun as

So the quads you could not make was the section after the straight and then the big triple on the back was a problem too?

Mantis,

I also have been struggling with triples at our track. I run a large more 8th scale indoor track and to make consistent laps the triple becomes a double single because of the lack of attitude adjustment in the air with my truck. I frequently get passed by a Losi that jumps over me in this section.

I run Saddle packs and the exotech center section.

I can make the triple but if I am off at all at take off there is little chance of correction in the air to make a proper landing.

With a B44 or My Dex410 I triple this section all day long. If I am off I just make an attitude adjustment in the air to make a proper landing and drive on.

This type of control is lacking in the SC104X4. I have wondered if the belt and motor are counteracting the tire rotation and canceling out mid air adjustments.

I am getting frustrated and hate to say it but I am pricing a DEXSc410.

Glad to hear I am not the only one struggling with this.

Clearing the quads is not the issue, getting the nose down off the jump is. You see in that vid the way the buggy was able to pitch the nose down? the losi can do it, but with the sc10 4x4 it is very tough to do. And the tripple, well, it is even harder to adjust the pitch when your 15 ft in the air goin 35mph.

Yes. I only saw one Losi hit the downside of the back triple and it made up a LOT of time. He could also hit the front quad. Other Losi' that i saw could not do this consistently.
I never could get my sc to act like my 8 scale on bigger jumps. Sure you could on smaller tracks but everything is bigger in TX

The quads were doable but not easy, the triples were out of the question.
Everyone seems to agree as do i that it seems to fight itself when trying to correct which means reverse rotation my actually do the trick! May have to stay up late tonight and make a proto! off hand does anyone know if the tranny idler gear is 32p?
