SC10 4x4 Thread
Agreed. Only issue is that once you switch, you have to undo your setup for working around the poor power distribution with the stock setup. Like no more 30k diff fluid up front, etc.
I'm still running the front yellow springs/sway rear blue spring/sway and tweaking it out to remove some of the push. Half my problem was that my dumbass was running overdrive front pully by accident, once I fixed that, I just needed to add a little camber up front to help the wheels bite a little more on the slick clay I was running on. I'm playing with diffent shock mount settings now to remove some rear weight transfer prior to switching to yellow rears.

Im curious to see how they fit inside of the b44 saddle tray, are they to tall?

can you elaborate on what exactly is the problem with the taller Gens Ace?
Is it that there is not enough room for them to fit under the tunnel, or, is it that the battery tray posts don't go high enough?

I run the saddle conversion on mine. I use the Gens ace 6000. I run this with the Reedy Sonic 6.5 540 and can run a 15 min main with them.

shot a message to exotek to see if there are any issues with running taller lipos with their inline conversion.
Also, since there probably are a good amount of people in the know here concerning my question, please take a look at this thread:

Seeing as how they were just announced, I don't think you will see them for a few more weeks.
It was a ton of fun! Always my favorite race of the year!

How did you fit the battery strap in there with the Gens Ace 6000's. I am running the 6,000's now and its so close to the belt tunnel I dont see how the strap would fit.

You can run the taller GensAce 6000Mah saddle lipos. The straps fit fine and do not hit the belt cover. All you have to do is run a spacer and or small nut to raise the battery post. I then locktite the threaded stud into the thumb screw so that they unscrew as one. I run the battery post with the hex on top so I can remove the two left hand posts with small nut driver. It is necessary to remove the two posts to remove the two saddle packs. I usually leave them in and charge in the truck.
