Had my first track time with the 22T, and it was CRAZY loose, but to give the truck some leeway, the track was VERY dry and I didn't have the right tires for the track conditions. They are putting in a new layout this week and they let it dry out beforehand since it is easier to till up than damp clay (mud). Will get a true test this weekend on the new track! But the truck is very smooth and jumps great!

Quick question guys. I currently just got into 1/10th offload. So I don't know much about gearing and motor turns. I have a 22 buggy and I am getting ready to order the truck. My questions is what turn motor would be good I have a 13.5 on my buggy and wish it was just a tad bit quicker I don't want anything that is just est to uncontrollable so would a 6.5 be good for truck or is that to fast also I know this is the wrong forum to ask questions about a buggy but I have the stock spur and a 27 pinion how much higher could I go on my pinion before running into overheating issues with my 13.5? Any answers are greatly appreciated

@rhymster 27 pinion sounds about right for a 13.5, i run a 23 or 24 tooth on my 10.5T motor. Borrow a temp gun from one of your Nitro friends and just make sure your motor is staying at or below 170F and your speed control is not going above 120-130F.
Keep in mind speed control settings like adding boost will directly effect your motor temps.

There is no exact setting if your diff is set right. Set your slipper half way down set it on the surface your running on and tight or loosen in 1/4 turn adjustments till the truck slips for a foot or so. The slipper is a tuning adjustment for track conditions. I like mine tight enuf to to pull wheelies but loose enuf that it doesnt kill the diff when I back side the jumps on power.

I take it you track runs mod truck? 7.5 19 or 20 pinion or 6.5 18 or 19 pinion depending on track size. There are guys running 10.5 with boost and turbo,I dont care for the feeling of when that comes in. But I guess if you got a really tight in feild and a big straight it cold be nice.I like to be strapped at all times it feels smoother to me. But eveyone diffrent.

Ran for the first time at Katyrc.com and it was pretty good. Ran Panther's Switch2.0s soft and they felt good when dry. At one point it felt like it was pushing at others it felt fine. I guess it was an off power push and on power it was fine. If I got on it too quick in the loose stuff it would square up too quick.
Diff is still smooth...surprisingly.
I am running a 7.5 20p, stock spur. Only thing I hit a pipe and the ball cup popped off. Snapped back on and continued on. I thought it was a little stiff but, will work that out later.
Love the B&T.

hey guys was I have been wanting a 22T since it came out. I have a 22 buggy and was wondering what all I would need to swap out to make it a 22T. Is the chassis, arms, shock towers, shocks the same?

I won the 22T truck from A Main Hobbies... I need to order a servo for it now... Looks like a good truck and sounds like a good truck...
Any tips for building it?

But really its a great kit and practically builds itself! The pieces fit so well together! Just remember a lil dab of grease in the ball cups when your building the turnbuckles and the then they are nice and smooth. Also the 22 series requires a nice and tight diff, much tighter than any other diff I have ever built, this comes from a team driver.
