Where was it hidden? Did you just happen upon it or were you looking for it?

Its a lil hard to explain, as I was shown... You have to hold one wheel with one hand and give the other wheel a "flick" and if it rotates on its own more than one full revolution, then its too loose. Tighten and re-flick it...

The "goal" being 3/4 to one full revolution.

Also as I was told it is very finicky to changes... If the car is handling funky it is 90% of the time the diff or tire selection. I heard that the team drivers check the diff every run!

Thanks Clown, dang losi diffs seem very picky, the way I had it set was good for weeks, until new track with a double timing punch it section that slipped diff....have heard this diff has to be ran very tight, will have to rebuild and give the flick method a try....would be sweeeeet if losi came out with a prebuilt/pre broken diff....

I just tighten mine all the way. It was the only way I can keep mine from feeling gritty. AE I back off a tad, Losi I left tight. So far so good for now. But ill order spare rings and balls soon.

Oh yeah when I backed off, it loosened and lost consistency. Now it remains consistent and predictable. So I'll keep it locked for.now.

It all depends on the track or tracks you will be racing at...
Big tracks or small tracks?
Low traction loose dirt or HIGH traction packed smooth clay?

IMHO if the track can take the HP then feel free to have fun, anywhere from a 10.5 to a 5.5 would be good if you can handle the HP that is. I have ran 10.5 and 8.5 but prefer the 10.5 for me (it had enough HP but not so much that I can get into trouble too much). 8.5 would be pretty good to!

Are you guys using the 3" off the ground method for setting the slipper ? When I try it, the front end will lift briefly, then I hear the diff slip and the front end comes down, I have checked and rechecked the diff and if I try to spin it while holding the outdrives it won't budge, should I just tighten the diff ??

Default Gear diff

Heres a question for you. If someone was to try a gear diff what oil would you try? In the buggy 5000 works pretty decent. I would think for the truck 5000 would not be enough, because of tire size and weight. Thought??????

When doing that adjustment make sure your diff is tight enough, you want the slipper to slip first not the Diff!!!!

I'll mainly be running at wcrc. It's medium sized high bite clay indoor track. Lap times range from 19-23.
