Do you want a precision machine to skillfully master the track, or do you want drive deep into the corners and knock people out of your way?

I know the ballistic 550 fits and its 72.1mm, theres a youtube vid that shows how to fit it.

Speaking of viper motors does anyone have one? I heard somewhere the new one is suppose to blow everything away. Since I'm saving up for a 550 can motor I want the best I can get.
The Ballistic 550 fits right in there, but as you can see in the pic, the sensor area is recessed so that it doesn't get in the way.

My Associated is one of the fastest on the track I run on because I stuck with it and the racers here on the forum have worked together to come up with set ups and solutions to make the truck competitive. Its like anything else, if you stick with it you will get better at setting it up and learning what to do with it.

Hear this story a lot about the wrapped arms , never seen it or found someone that has experience & could even show me a Ae 4x4 arm that was defected .

The pro 4 has more top and bottom but you sacrifice runtime. Both are very good motors.

I wasn't under geared, If I ran a SC4x 5.5t motor then 15/62 would be great, 4.5 motor 12-14 is recommended. I ran 13t just be safe, when I put 14t and 15t pinion it got 200 degree a lot faster and had less run time. Again this was my experience. I had 2 motors and both did the same. That's why I recommend the Pro4 4000kv motor.

I have the same rear arms on my truck since early may. Have taken them off a few times just to check them and havent found any warping. Maybe I'm driving it wrong...

The front seems the worst culprit... and is not always easily visible. When you take your arm off next time, turn them vertical, put the pin in the top, if the pin falls out the bottom, they are good. If you have to push the pin through, or you have to use something to pull the pin out in the first place... they are warped. Seems the two pieces that the pin goes through get twisted or out of line with each other and binds up the hinge pin. Any racer knows that you should have very free hinge pins... they should slide freely through the arms.

On my rear ones the pin does not fall through, It takes a lot of force. They are brand new though. Just took them out of the package and they were like this.

I had a set like that as well, used a reamer to clean them up. Every racer has hinge pin reamers, no? Point is, the RPM arms are correct out of the package.

So has anybody found a permanent fix yet for the outdrives? I shimmed them but that only lasted so long. I'd rather not uses travel limiters but I might have to.
