If you have to use thread lock to keep a pinion on, there's a problem. Just put the pinion on, tighten it, set your gear mesh and put the truck on the ground, give it a couple pulls of the throttle, then, recheck your gear mesh and snug the pinion set screw and motor screws down again. Never had a problem in 20+ years of RC racing.

not a problem man. I used a pair of calipers to measure my wrench's shaft width and found the smallest bit possible. Also, its small enough so that dirt isnt an issue of getting under the under tray.

Pull the motor, use the measurement in the manual, tighten pinion, then reinstall motor.

EXACTLY MY POINT!!! You made a simple mistake, an error if you will, and he see's blood in the water!!!

He thinks that he is PERFECT and never makes a mistake and that when someone else does, its the end of the world. He just needs to get a life or just go kill himself...

the problem with that is, 32 pitch 13 tooth and up (i think?) wont fit through the hole in the motor plate, so you have to install it while the motor is in the truck.

that is correct, I just confirmed it on my truck. 32 pitch, 13t, 14t, 15t, 16t, 17t, 18t, 19t are all to big to fit thru the hole in the motor plate.

This worked perfectly for me with 13t/32 pitch pinion, on a castle 1410.

maybe its the 14t that wont fit. I know my 15t, and 16t are much to big to fit.

That's so funny, I can get a 14t in my truck to fit through the hole...
