SC10 4x4 Thread
But don't you have the front clicker to help the front end? Doesn't the clicker act like a one-way and allow the front wheels to spin faster during off-power turns?
So my track is hard packed clay with dust/sand on top. I'm thinking I should go with a pinned top shaft and lock the clicker down.

So:
I can run pinned for my big 8th scale tracks.
Unpinned for very tight technical tracks.
and Center diff for a overall great drive. (I'm sure mantis will say I won't need the other options, but I like "direct effect".

I got my $230.00 worth of Factory team, Tires, etc, new diffs: (still trying to hunt down this clicking noise that makes me think i'm losing power somewhere) Merry Christmas to ME. =D
Oh, to you guys too I guess.

<3 Ya guys. Merry Christmas.
Lol, yea I haven't heard of anyone running the clicker unlocked. Having front wheel breaking is one of the main reasons I like 4x4, so for me it kinda defeats the purpose. I could see it being useful on a tight track with lots of grip where you're otherwise having issues getting the rear end to swing around.
If you give it a push start will it start going and work fine or does it still do the same thing? I had that issue with the Novak setup, and tech said it was either a problem with the sensor or something in the esc and needed to send it back for repair/replacement, sent it back to the hobby store and got a tekin pro4 and mmp instead.
couple hours? time for some maintenance. or batteries sound spent, motor hot, esc hot, slipper fell off, or belt loose.
Check the adjustment on the slipper nut. I have the same issue. Ran a few batteries through the truck, then on the 3rd battery I made it half a lap and truck wouldn't move. The slipper nut was loose and almost came off. Readjusting the slipper nut fixed it for me.

Just joking, start with the first few pages, that'll tell you what you need.
1. Clutch basket is a must. Mac the Knife
2. Front sway bar kit
3. real tires
4.Aluminum wheel hexes
5. RPM arms
That'll get you started
Cheers

Depending on Driving style, The pinned option actually "helps" turning. It's all about the driver as far as pinned/unpinned goes. I personally will have a pinned shaft, and a center diff from mantis.

Unpinned for very tight technical tracks.
and Center diff for a overall great drive. (I'm sure mantis will say I won't need the other options, but I like "direct effect".
