I put all my shims in the tranny on the gear side. You'll be shocked at first but a after run it loosens up and you will love how much longer the diff gears last. And its quieter. Smoother acceleration gear to gear.

A question for all the guys racing the B44.1, does any body run any sort of cooling system on their motor. If so is the LRP 1/10 system a good one. Going to run an LRP SXX TC SPEC V2 with V X12 6.5T, contemplating to spend money on a second V X12 7.5T or spend that money on some spares and a cooling system, for the motor.

Anyways I probably have twenty something batts through my current comp/6.5 setup.
Never had an issue.
Yes, the 6.5 and my lil sxx comp get hot. But I just try to run for as long as necessary(the length of mains or quals)
I have had no problem doin wheelies down the straight with this current setup(thoguh my diffs hate when i drive like that.)
This lrp stuff will run hot. Vent the body. My Bull dog has holes tons of holes.

I had good luck with my b44.1 19/81 and an lrp x12 6.5 this summer using the Sxx tc v2 with a fan. I recently sold the TC spec and went to the comp(no fan or sinks) after hearing the tc spec doesnt like the off road abuse so much. apparently a board in the esc can come loose off road.

The B44 is a great ground pounder in a controlled environment like a track. On the streets and skate parks its not as great. It will need heavier oil and stronger springs. Take it to the hobby shop and buy the strongest steering servo you can afford but I would go cheep on the rest. If your just planning to bash it.

Are you sure your building them correctly? Which set are we talking about?

Def not going to the skatepark or anything like that, if I do I have a 2wd sct for that but me and a few buddies have backyard tracks. By strongest servo what exactly do you mean? I have seen standard and quick type servos? Thanx for the help I really appreciate it and look fwd to hearing some more advise.

Are there any options available for this platform to reduce the weight at all? I am using a B44 platform in a dirt oval application and would really like to reduce the overall weight if possible. Thanks in advance..
Great car by the way
