They are not quite the same - the 2013 deck will fit the 2015 - it doesn't have the holes for the motor mount and has a slightly different design to better accommodate the 5mm connectors on lipos.

If the Tx you have is a 27MHZ AM set then you can change crystals if it is a 70Mhz set then not.
