I'd go with the castle mamba x. It can handle the 4 pole sc motor without issues, runs sensorless as well as sensored if you go that route in the future, is waterproof, has excellent customer service...

Those prices listed are very high, for $350 you can get a 4px. If you use the expensive c2 receivers with the 4pks-r its faster then the 4pk, but if you're going to run cheap frsky c1 fasst receivers...

With that much horsepower it'll always pull the wheels. Going thinner in the center diff will help, but too thin and you'll just nuke the diff.

I've never tried big range but in typical 1/10 use and combat robots (so through metal and a lexan enclosed box) they've never missed a beat. The big dual antennas I'm sure help if anything ;)
