Are the diffs sealed?

2.2" stadium truck tires will work and tend to be lighter than the Trenchers. Trenchers will work too. The extra weight will stress your drive line so it can cause bent drive shafts and broken diffs....

HPI makes a good TC wheel and I think the Tamiya wheels...

For the shock tower question: Have you tried the plastic shock top protectors? They're supposed to help keep the tops from digging in, causing the tower to stress....
