Fastest car types?

I’m a real newbie to on-road... I am wondering what are the fastest and slowest car types around an average track?

I.e. Pan, F1, TC etc.

Particularly interested in some 2WD vs. 4WD discussion.

Wouldn’t you need to have mismatched batteries - and therefore a weight differential between the left and right hand side of the car?

A super-powerful RC in the hands of a newbie can be dangerous, IMO. Do you really want/need something that is capable of 100km/h+? Probably not.

I started on 2S and have recently progressed to 3S....
