MKS HBL550 is a great servo for $100. The HBL599 is a bit pricey at $190 but will last a very long time. MKS uses 25 tooth spline count FYI

The 18.5mm horn is meant to give the steering a smoother, less twitchy feel. I have it in mine and like it. You can also turn your steering speed down slightly if your transmitter has that setting....

Also, your diff mounts are wrong. You have the rear one on the front and the front one on the rear. Note the slight concave on the one mount. That is for clutch clearance.

How many shims are behind your spider gears? Should only be 1 behind each. No shims behind sun gears. Also, double check that there isn't any debris behind any of the gears. (had this happen once)

They wouldn't last more than 5 minutes with 1/8. Unless if you're running on turf? You can probably find something from factory fx or decal works. Or a similar motocross/dirtbike decal company..

Chassis protectors generally aren't used on 1/8 vehicles. However, you can find front and rear skid plates that mount directly below the front and rear diff on the bottom of the chassis.
