seeing as you hit a wall, i'd start with checking for leaks around the carb and also your gas tank for cracks and or leaks ;)

You should be using the included servo shims as...

You should be using the included servo shims as per the instructions. The shims will lift the servo up enough so it doesnt hit the chassis.
