It's not a nitro style mount, it's a clamping motor mount. it's a style that's been used for over 10yrs by different manufacturers, most recently TLR with the 8ight X buggy

They're cheap, and third party testing shows them to be right up there with lipos...

Another option is to run 3x Turnigy HD 7S packs in series, and a good charger for them is the SkyRC D400 2x200W 7S charger, it's cheap enough

Personally i would go with the MCD XS5 base model (not the "max" series) which Cardinal Racing don't seem to have. They have the shorter wheelbase like the Rovan F5, which is 580mm

Well they're cheap and they're a clone of the MCD XS5, they probably aren't too bad. If anything breaks, mainly driveline parts, then replace with MCD. The MCD driveline is bulletproof.
