True but on the other hand with sensored do not expect that you can test them al with an oscilloscope.... It just takes a lot of time doing the test.

I know for every arguement you can find another one against it and that is the problem with electric drivers, too many people with an own mind wanting their own rules.

On that subject I do understand the ETS where some people make the rules and basically say "this is it, deal with it". If you want to have maximum control then yes, people do not like it but in the case of the ETS they still show up. Give them freedom on anternetives and you will end up with 30 or more different classes.

Having software in an ESC that isn't ROAR approved while spec racing is already illegal as mentioned by others. This of course means that ROAR or other sanctioned race bodies will need to plug into the ESC as part of tech.

Skewing sensors isn't anything new. This is an issue with "spec" locked motors as people will inevitably complain that one is better than the other ie; his has more timing, his has better symmetry, etc.

I've mentioned to sanctioned bodies to run sensorless mode. While running sensorless the timing cannot go any higher than 30 degrees off of each phase. This negates ANY and all can timing and senor deviation.

I was told that "other manufacturers aren't capable of this mode so it's not fair" at one point.

Control what you can, eliminate what you cannot.

Do like nitro and create classes solely based on chassis configuration (2wd, 4wd) and skill level.

Timing can go past 30 degrees in sensorless. Now whether or not it can do so in any particular manufacturer's ESC is another matter. I gather from your comment that it can't in Tekin ESCs.
