I've not tested an M11X, but I'm quite sure that the MT-44 would be lower latency.

I posted a link in the post above yours to the results of my testing of PPM rate, which can be used to determine minimum possible latency.

Yes, the MT-44 has a place for a neck strap, but it's so light, I'm not sure you'd need it.

Hmmm, just realized that my 472 receiver was bound in SHR mod. I just tried to bind it in SSR and it wont recognize it. Does the rx472 support SSR for the mt44?

I'd have thought that in does... If it supports FH4T, then it supports SSR. Are you sure you can use SSR? It only works with a small number of servos / ESCs, and doesn't appear to offer any advantages for latency anyway.

Operation timer so far shows 1.5hrs of use. Battery voltage has only just dropped to 3.9V. I reckon I could easily get 2, maybe 3 full club days out of a charge.

the strange thing is for the radio and receiver there should be no difference how you bind it (it should be on modulation FH4T), the SSR or SHR is only towards the servos (channels), so the binding should work, but possible your servo won't depending if it supports SSR or not. Only top of the line sanwa Servo like the SRG-BLS and SRG-LS support SSR if you have another model like sdx-801 or ers-971 they only support SHR.

in any case the 47x and 48x are the most current receivers and are sold with the mt44 so they should work perfect and support all functions, so the problem is not there.

It works in my 2wd with a rx482 using a spektrum 6240. I'm not sure why it wont work in my 4wd with the rx472 with a protek 150s servo. I'll check my e buggy using the rx472 with a protek 170 BL servo.... The all work in SHR mode.

I unplugged my servo to try it and it still wouldn't work, my esc showed no signal from my remote...

Remember you have to re-bind the Rx and TX when which switching between modes.

Pass you soon...

I did, and that's when it wont bind in SSR mode.

It should bind but maybe your servos or ESC will not respond.

Why would the esc not work in my 4wd (rx472) if the same esc works in my 2wd (rx482)car set to SSR mode?

Understood, but my ESC wouldn't work either(RX472), that same ESC works fine in SSR in my 2wd (RX482). Very strange.

Little battery update.
After running for 2.5hrs the 18650 Efest 3500mah has gone from 4.1 to 4.0.
Looks like this think will last w few months for me.

Has anyone tried installing an M12 dropdown on this? Does it fit?
