In the mean time, I was able to fix my old 3PK so I can still use that with my FM and C1 receivers. (http://www.rctech.net/forum/radio-el...utaba-3pk.html) Not many views of that thread...am I the only one that ever had a bad Futaba steering potentiometer??

As far as I can tell, the frame rate is 6.8ms for the high speed mode on appropriate receivers. The only data I could find for the Sanwa/Airtronics radios was 5.5ms. I don't think I could feel a 1.3ms difference.

Is the high speed mode the compatible mode for the receiver that comes with the radio?

I pre ordered my 4PXR from Tower on April 11th. Tower charged my card Saturday and when I spoke with a rep today she told me my back order was in stock & it would be shipping out Monday.

My 4pk one failed... I raced 1/2 a season and $$$ trying to figure out why my center and endpoints changed during a race...

I also replaced the buttons that were failing.

Link to the pot.

I just received my 4pxr from my local hobby shop ,,,the things I can see so far are ,,, the radio looks really nice in the crome finish but it shows finger prints a lot, it's got the new soft ware 1.3 Version with racer mode, drop down wheel , alum throttle and other throttle mounts included , lipo battery and charger witch is nice . The manual is the same as the first 4px radio. All & all its nice but not for the price .

Default Vs 4px

Is there anything the 4pxr can do that the 4px cannot with a free software upgrade? What's the hype?

Nothing that I see ,,, it's a lot of money over the the 4px . But if u add the alum throttle trigger, life pack and charger , and Carbon fiber handle it mite be more. But the chrome finish does have a rich look over the black on the 4px. The jog button is red on the 4pxr

Think I just wanted something more current. My 4pksr only has 40 hours on it and do t know if either is worth the upgrade? If anyone wants it may sell it for $275 btw

Default Fastest receiver

I'm confused. Is the fassst receiver in the 4px faster than th 4pksr? Which is the fastest receiever and how much of an improvement is it over the 4pksr? Thx

I herd the r304sb are faster then the fasst ,, i had the 4px and only used the fasst r614ff and 614fs receivers in nitro buggy and Truggy with fast servos. I haven't used the r304sb yet . I'm going to put the r304sb when my etruggy comes in so I'll see if the r304sb is faster then fasst receivers.
