R314 series can be purchased with 4PX and 4pls as a package on banzai right now. I suspect the performance increase in 4pxr comes from the new receiver. only question is whether 4px can take advantage of the extra capability of the r314 or programing or hardware differences will prevent performance gains like 4pxr

Can the 4PX use the reciever FASST R604FS I got with my 4PK-super R ?
(Only R614FS is mentioned)
And will those R604FS be quicker than my old 4PL recievers S-FHSS R204GF ?
In quickness, where will you place the 4PX with the R304SB reciever ?

Upgrade to the latest released software and purchase the new R314 receivers and the performance will be the same

Did anyone had a heavy tension spring steering on 4PXR than 4PX ? i had an issue with a hard spring on 4PXR. i already tried unscrew all the spring tension at the bottom of 4PXR module steering, but the tension still pretty hard. Not the same like 4PX. Any idea please? Thanks !

Looks like the PXR is on Tower's website now. Price is pretty steep at $679. Will be curious to see the price from a few other vendors before placing an order.

If they don't, it would be a suisidal marketing move now that Spektrum is releasing it's app based system.

Have a bunch of recievers from my old 4PL, which ones will be quickest/best used with a 4PX in my cars ?
R203GF S-FHSS
R2104GF S-FHSS
R603GF S-FHSS
Thinking of selling off the 4PL, and it is nice to know which to keep with the 4PX, thanx!

No the 604 will not work with the 4PX. Only the 614 series of fast will work.

R603GF S-FHSS
The 603 only works at FHSS, not S-FHSS, so it is slower than the other 2.
It was designed to work with the 3PL systems.
R203GF S-FHSS
It is a 3 channel. (FHSS/S-FHSS) 13.63ms frame rate
High-Speed mode 6.8ms frame rate (only when telemetry is turned off)
Operating voltage from 4.8v to 7.2v
Battery fail safe voltage is set for 4-cell NiCd/NiMH battery or 3.8v
R2104GF S-FHSS
It is a 4 channel. (FHSS/S-FHSS) 13.63ms frame rate
High-Speed mode 6.8ms frame rate (only when telemetry is turned off)
Operating voltage from 3.5v to 8.4v

This is a very interesting thread. I've been competitively racing with the Futaba 4PKS-R for about a two and a half years now and absolutely LOVE IT! Here lately, I admit i've been getting a serious case of the wants due to the glitzy packaging of the 4PX-R. After speaking with a tech on the difference in speed they told me the 4PX's FHSS system is slower so that killed it for me. Seems like a bad move for Futaba to downgrade performance for the looks, even if telemetry is now a feature.
I've tried the M12 and REALLY wanted to like it but it's plagued with the same issues of the M11..FAR too top heavy. The Futaba 4PK series is just better balanced. I think I'll focus back to what's really important (performance) and put my cash into more Orion speedo's

Interesting on the 614/604 compatibility. Is that confirmed? Futaba is usually pretty good about backward compatibility.
