R604FS is C2 so yes will work with 4PX.
R603FS is C1 so no will not work with 4PX.

Insert the MicroSD card
Power the 4PX on
Navigate to Model Menu
Copy any configured models yo the external MicoSD
Power off the 4PX
Then, copy extracted FUTABA folder and contents from PC to MicroSD card
Reinsert MicroSD card and hold down END button while powering the 4PX on
Wait or update process to complete in ~2 minutes.

In the event yo need to restore a model back to an earlier setting, use the Zmodl menu and gory it from external MicroSD yo internal memory.

Will the Life RX packs I use in my current 4PKS-R work in the 4PX?

Yes they will.

I ran my 4PX for the first time two weeks ago and it glitched so bad I had to drop out of the race. When I would let off of the gas it would keep going and then stop. I updated the software and went back to the track today and it worked flawless. Only complaint I have now is the trigger that's made for a gorilla finger!!

isn't the trigger adjustable?

brewert 12-24-2014 07:12 PM

They give you two triggers with radio, but both of them are very wide. I love the trigger on my 4pks-r, but I have a hard time going from throttle to brake with the PX. I heated and reformed one of my trigger shoes to make it work and it's a lot better now!

What about the other way? I have an original 3PK from the FM crystal days, upgraded with the FASST Tx module. Will a C2 Rx work with the C1 Tx module? As you can tell, I have not kept up with the technology.

A 4PX is in the cards, but due to a funding glitch it will have to wait until January.

Unless there's something I'm missing, the legacy 3PK and 3PKS with respective TX module will support upto the C1 RX module. I recently sold two 3PKS radios and still own one. These are sweet setups that are quite flexible.

Beginning with the 4PK, 4PKS, and 4PKS-R, there is a menu option that allows backward compatibility with the FASST C1 and forward FASST C2 technology. I'm not certain, but suspect the move was to move forward and not look backward with the creation of another TX module for radios similar to the 3PK/3PKS that supports FASST C2.

installed a new Ko Propo BSX2 servo last night, and having an issue once I turn it on. Called Futaba and spoke to Mike from the tech department. Told me that Futaba is looking into the issue. Hopefully there is a fix coming soon. I also want to acknowledge Mike. Really nice guy compared to another guy that works there, I was able to have a normal conversation with him without an attitude.

Anybody using or can recommend a soft sided transmitter bag that works for the 4PX?

While the hard case aluminum coming for it is sexy looking, I don't want to carry a hard case and would rather a soft bag with a shoulder strap so I can sling it on like a messenger bag.

Has anybody had issues with the display screen marking really easy? Mine appears to have scratches on it from only being wiped with a cloth.

For now, I left the factory clear screen protector on it. I did have to press out a few air bubbles. Other than that, I figured it'd last at least until I can find a better solution.

I have a few of these T-Works screen protectors coming.
