In the manual the say if you use only futaba digital servos choose digital in the transmitter settings.
But if you use other servos digital or not .use the analog setings.
Wat are your guys finding about that?
I tryed both settings and find no differens.:(

Yeah, I've been using the digital setting for all my digital servos and I primarily run KO servos.

Futaba can't guarantee that all digital servos will work in the digital mode. Some might, some might not. My KO one10 and one10 response both work perfectly in digital mode.

Battery life before recharge needed?

I'm think of getting this one for xmas. And i was wondering what's the battery life on this radio? Since it got big screen it might need frequent recharges?
I have 4pks-r with life and i lasts very long time before i need to swap life.
thanks for input.

Specs state you get 10 hours runtime with T-FHSS receivers and 6 hours with FASST receivers.

Using the lifepo pack I am now through 2 complete race days racing 2 calssses on the first charge. It was down to 6.5v at the end of the 2nd day. I could probably squeeze 1 more race day out of it if I wanted too, but no reason to push it. I will charge before I go out again. Very acceptable battery life IMO. My old M12 lasted longer, but there is no issue on the 4PX. A charged battery is more than enough to get through even the longest race day without question.

What lipo packs are you guys using? Right now I'm using a AAA works fine for what i use it for just indoor i can get lots of use doing 5 min races and 10min practice runs but I want to get a lipo..

The 4PX requires a LifePo (6.6v) not a lipo (7.4v).

Both of these work perfectly.

I'd say charge the LiFe pack on the 4PX at the start of each race day. I used mine a little the night before and a 10 hour race day consisting of practice/racing one class and some bench time doing setup. Recharged the next race day and put in ~1300mah into the pack.

My "man sized" belly likes to hit the bottom button while racing which constantly turns on the back light. If that did not happen the mah used would have been less.

thanks for reply guys:tire:
I'm using this lipo in my 4PKS-R http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...arehouse_.html
and will keep it and use it in 4PX :tire:

LiFe not LiPo, there is a difference. As already mentioned don't run LiPo in the 4PX or the 4PK series.

Typo on my site. Yes I'm using LiFe.

Hopefully at next firmware update they can address this issue with like hold it for 3 sec or so and then screen will come on.
Can't wait for mine!

4px wish list

Here's what I want for my 4px for Christmas:D
  • Thin grip (which I hear this may actually hit US markets before Christmas)
  • Smaller trigger (both the brake triggers that come with the US version are way too big)
  • Voice capabilities for lap times and not just telemetry data. I don't care about telemetry data, I just want to hear my lap times every time I hit the lap start button.

I thought the voiced lap time was a built-in function on the 4px, but I don't see that functionality in the instruction manual.

LiPo Battery usage

A friend of mind "stole" my LiPo battery and plugged into his 4PX this weekend and when he told me (after using it for a qual) I told him they are not suppose to use LiPos and only LiFe batteries. He said it's working fine and continued using it the rest of the race day. What are the disadvantages of using LiPo?
