-It almost sounds like you are in the display mode? The display mode comes on when you press the left power button. It gives a red message on the left side of the screen saying "display". Make sure you are only pressing the right side power button.

- If you aren't in the display mode go to the Receiver screen and select a different Rx and turn off the Tx. Then turn on the Rx first (it should flash red). Next turn on the Tx. Go to the Receiver screen and reselect the Fasst Rx. See if it ask you about the failsafe. If it does select "yes/agree/accept" (whichever one it offers). The Rx should go flashing green if I remember correctly. Now hold the Tx right next to the Rx and press the Rx bind button. The Rx led should go to solid green. If this doesn't work I would contact Futaba.

I would not recommend Futaba after my recent experiences trying to get help. The wholesales dealer in W.A.apparently expects that all buyers to investigate the dealers to ascertain the origin of the products' importation.
They won't assist at all.
U.S. were slightly better but won't answer the support line & if you're from overseas , again, it's not their problem.
Sanwa next time for me I think.

I'm really surprised that this is happening. Maybe an e-mail to Futaba Japan pertaining to the poor customer service within their distribution chain is in order. I would also let them know what service you need from them and ask them where you can send it to for service.

Yep.I've emailed Japan.no reply yet.

Rec

Is anyone using the 204 that has no antenna or what is the smallest rec to use

TOADYY 06-23-2017 11:51 AM

The R204, R304 and R614 all have the same case and size (1.38 x 0.91 x 0.33 in). I have yet to see a smaller Futaba Rx that use Fasst and FHSS.

No.No support yet.Futaba tell me to contact RC Wholesale in W.A.& I'm waiting for a call tomorrow from someone who may be able to help me.The whole experience has been a nightmare. My Australian supplier didn't buy it through the aus wholesaler so nobody wants to help me sort it out.still waiting. You would think Futaba could tell me how to sort it?

It should work fine I believe. My 614E worked with no problem.

Therefore, assuming power is being given to the rx,, then I would check the following:

1) Fasst rx setting is selected under "Receiver" within the Tx menu and leave your Tx on at this menu.

2) When you turn on the Rx it should start flashing green.

3) When/If you get a message on your Tx asking you about resetting any failsafe say "Yes/Accept".

Your Rx should bind and the LED should turn solid green.
What is yours doing?

Stays red.

Lol. Transposed the numbers; I meant 614. Lol
As far as your Australia distributor: It sounds like they got a deal through indirect channels and made you pay full price so that they made more money?

gardey 06-27-2017 04:18 PM

Yep.he said the wholesaler won't supply him because he doesn't have a shopfront? Supplier denied thatn He says, she says politics doesn't help us as the end consumer.just bad for Futaba.Sanwa for me next time & hope they have better back up than Futaba...couldn't be worse
.

gardey 06-28-2017 02:07 AM

So it turned out the 614 wont link with the 4px.so the expert told me today. Reckoned it's a different 4px from another country so the receiver wont recognize it.Ripped off.had to by new receivers after all.wasted my money & should have got a 4pv about half price or a Sanwa m12.Futaba sux

fizzy 06-28-2017 06:22 AM

What does being from a different country have to do with binding to a fasst rx? Id be asking for a refund from whoever you bought it from and go with a 4pv.

JayL 06-28-2017 09:45 AM

I have 614 bound to my 4PX....
R614FF-E, more than one
also the USA dist says it works:
TowerHobbies.com | Parts Compatibility: Futaba R614FF-E 4-Channel FASST Receiver 4PK/4PKS
