I always do mine at 100%

I have not, I have heard of a couple guys that have. I always setup my ESC's with my Tekin Hotwire for all the rest of the settings but have never gone above 100% on the radio. I'm normally turning power down...ha

Some foam and shrink wrapped it.. feels great and it's a clean look also.. I recommend thaking the trigger off when heating up the shrink tube so you won't burn/melt the nice radio..

Went bashing at the neighborhood soccer field with my nephew yesterday. Brought along two electric vehicles and my 4PK and 4PX.

We lost connection once with the 4PX. This was with the R304SB with the antenna removed. Maybe it was because the receiver got covered in mud (forgot to wrap it in a baloon). The 4PK performed flawlessly, using an R604FS with the antenna removed, wrapped in a baloon and under the Hornet metallic chrome painted body (which Tamiya says in the manual not to use a 2.4ghz receiver without an antenna).

On the plus side, the R304SB receiver seems tough. Wrapped in mud, I just hosed it down and allowed it to dry. Still works great. I'll do some distance testing this weekend.

I think you need to wrap more than the receiver in a balloon next time you go...

The ESC and servo are both waterproof, so no need to wrap those :D

Went bashing again today with the Hornet (metallic body) and 4PK/R604FS (antenna removed). No issues. Tomorrow I'll run it with the 4PX and R304SB with antenna delete and see if I experience any range issues. Will keep you guys posted.

Antenna removed? Range issues??
